The Jungle's 1st Game

Hey guys,

Let me start by saying WHAT A GAME, WHAT A WIN & WHAT A COMEBACK !!!!!
As most of you know, The Jungles 1st trial was the game against Manly.. For anyone who was there how do you think we went ? can we improve anywhere ?
i.e. Flags, Banners, Chants, More People etc.

Feel free to leave any ideas at all..

Wests Tigers 26 - 22 Manly !

i was sitting were my season tickets are and too be honest I couldnt tell were you guys were..
 
the jungle went off tonightt :smiley:
although i think we need more people + more banners / flagss
great atmospheree though haha
we started most of the chants tonite too
cnt wait for tigers v roosterss!

I agree. We were sitiing in Bay 10 and I couldn't hear anything from bay 17 … heard the manly chants loud and clear though ... but as you say, it's your first game. I hope you get heaps more people there, and you are louder than the opposition at the next round. Good for you for getting this happening!
 
Hopefully we get lots of people at the front of bay 17 on Sunday against the Roosters. Try to get there for the start of the Toyota Cup game and we will take the area before Roosters fans get there.

I rang the SCG trust admin number earlier in the day and they told me we weren't allowed to bring in banners and flags over 1 meter x 1 meter but I saw some larger ones there than that. I might just try to bring in my big banner next week. If they don't let me bring it in do you think I can give it to someone that works there and they'll give it back after the game???
 
Hmmmm…Bay 13 went off....First there was "Gareth's Army"...then the Benj took a bow to ...Beeeeenji...Beeeeeeeeeeenji, Beeeeeeeeenji" finised off with a nice rendition of Looooooooortay Loooooooooooortay Looooooortay.....

Even the ref's got a good send off....

And off course throughout the game Tigeeeeeeerssssssssssss, Tigreeeeeeeesssss Tigeeeeeeeeeeeers....

I am suprised no-one noticed The Jungle. I feel deaf from the chants! But I suppose when across field you can see Manly's established group it isn't much of a comparrison.

I think for the Jungle's first game it was a good turn out and everyone got involved, supported the boys and had fun.
 
Did not notice them at all… except for when the coppas ran across the field to put out the fight.

in saying that, there wasn't much to get excited about.
next week will be different

But realistically the sidelines at the SFS are not the best place for projection of noise to the bays on the same side of the field. The Manly chants seemed loud because they were directed towards us.

Acoustically Bay 17 just isn't the position for a fan group nor with regard to space and not interfering with the view of people paying money to see the game but it is great viewing. There is a reason Sydney F.C's The Cove sets up at the end of the ground
 
okay well i think it is something tht needs to be discussed as the weeks go on
we are alredy thinking about changing where we sit against the eels because it will be a packed house and it would be a good idea to move in my opinion
anyone with me on this?

It certainly did, I don't think I have ever sat in a bay that was a loud as bay 13 was last night.

I agree with KUL and Smeghead

We couldn't hear you at all. You need to move to another bay where you will get noticed and everyone can come and join you guys behind the post's. Where the ticketed members aren't sitting and your not blocking anyone's view. The other people in the top half of your bay don't count and you guys only had like the first 2-3 rows.
 
even though the fight was nothing to do with us
it still looked bad maybe we should ave a word with the security company
