Never been good at it.
However i think , just disregarding the panthers for a bit and focussing on us and the GC and the ladder for the moment

A couple of questions.

If they beat us by 9 we end up equal on f/a??

If they win by 8 or less we remain ahead of them on f/a??

They win by 10 or more they go ahead of us on f/a??

You're right on the 8 or less (we stay ahead) and 10 or more (they jump us)

Lets say hypothetically they win on Friday 9 - 0…

We'll both have a F/A of +28 however our P/A (Points Against) will be **491** while there's will be **480**... Meaning they'll jump us because of better defence.

I believe this is the next factor after F/A

Correct on all counts…..However...

We win we are 2nd....simple as that...

Maintain the BUFFER....

That was my next question….wasnt sure what happened with equal f/a

Sort of like BOD to the attack...where the defences benefit...or in this case, our better attacks benefit.
I spose the have to go one way.

anything equal to or better than a loss by 8 points will keep us above them

go the doggies!

i heard ray hadley say yesterday that it came down to percentage hence why warriors are in front of the roosters now like the afl system

If Penrith lose tonight both teams might think of resting players and be happy to settle for third. I think we will struggle next friday night, short turn around, injures galore and the storm game was such a physical contest also of course their is the travel thing to consider.

I heard them talking about %'s too a while back on Gibbsy & Brandy and the did some different examples and ended up with the same answers

Someone do the percentages of

F387 A 337 +50

F413 A363 +50

SC I agree I think we will struggle too…very very tough turnaround

I dont think we will struggle…

Titans got the wobble boot and are missings quite a few as well...

Wests Tigers finest hour to date....

With one round to go, isn't it great this year to be doing maths to see if we'll finish 2nd or 3rd… as opposed to 8th or 9th

It should be which team has scored the most tries.

They will have Campbell and Laffranchi back this week.

Maybe..Maybe not..

Back rower Anthony Laffranchi (shoulder) and Preston Campbell (hamstring), who both missed the Sharks encounter, also remain outside chances of playing this week.

Fair enough, I read another article with Cartwright saying he expected them back this week.

1.
a. We win= maintain our second spot
b. We lose= go to 2

2.
a. Lose by 18+ = Got to 3
b. Lose by <18= Go to 4

3\. We have lost our second spot

4\. We either come 2nd or 3rd.

I could be wrong but I seem to remember Hadley saying last weekend that 1 v 8 on Sunday and 4 v 5 on Friday that leaves 2 v 7 and 3 v 6 on Saturday.
