The Melbourne Cup

Two Melbourne Cups ago I was at the pub for the race and some bloke put $6 on a mystery trifecta. Won $9K. The tightass didn't buy anyone drinks.

Got on Flatten the Curve at $51 currently down to $17 on Sportsbet. Might put a few small trifectas on whoever the swimmers are if rain continues 🙏

Only bet on the ponies once a year and its a trifecta in the Melb cup. Have been able to jag it every second year for the last 6 years and this year I'm due. Happy to admit it was just dumb luck, no rhyme or reason or study of form guides...I usually box about 8-9 horses and load it up to 50% of the payout.

That provides good cover, usually cup trifectas pay good value, will put up an exacta tomorrow of what I think is possible.

Mate It’d be at least a couple of decades since I watched it. Probably longer since I bet on it.
Not my scene. I hate gambling fullstop.
Having a bet is only designed for entertainment you can't win in all forms of it in the long run it will drain your bank account.

But there's many people who just can't control themselves and lose huge money in quick time, an example was that politician in Tulsa King last night got the bug and did the lot.

What I don't get is the fascination for pokies, you have no chance against a computerised bandit.
