For the dreamers. It's been a while since we could talk about mathematical chances. What needs to happen for us to squeeze into the 8?

Relying on results, we can get there and the draw wouldn't require any major upsets.

Can we do it?

With some big wins 28 points could get us there with a good for and against. 30 points can get us 2 points clear of 9th pending results.

Whilst there is life, there is hope!

So I think we'd need to get maximum points from the last 5 rounds (4 wins & bye) & hope Dolphins have no more than 1 win (as their F/A is way superior).

Plus hope Roosters have no more than 2 wins which will be tough as they have a fairly good draw.

But we're still a mathematical chance for at least another fortnight lol

Being positive, we win 4 from 4.

Being realistic, we win 2 from 4 with a loss against Canberra and a slip up against Manly or Titans who are playing well and have nothing to lose - particularly if they have avoided the spoon.

Even so, 26 points and a number of close games across the season even though we've been clunky, gives us reason for some optimism in 2026.

Yes well this is the miracle thread not the spiritless MOR thread. 4 from 4 is the only way this miracle can occur.

At least it won't be a four-peat of the spoon thank [This word has been automatically removed]. 10 wins for the year would be a pass mark. Next year top 8 or heads roll.

How good is it to still be a mathematical chance in August instead of June!

Hell of a lot to play for these last few games. Winning 3/4 and finishing 10th-12th would earn Benji a pass mark with a bit of momentum and confidence into the off season. 0-4 and narrowly avoiding the spoon there will be a lot of noise I imagine.

Wests Tigers stalwart Alex Twal has declared there is no time like the present to end the club’s 14-season finals drought.

After an inspiring 28-14 victory over Canterbury at CommBank Stadium on Sunday, Twal was asked if he believed the Tigers could make a breakthrough appearance in the play-offs next year.

“Next year? I think this year is doable,” he replied. “We’ll just worry about this year first.”
