The next three weeks...

I don't think there has been a bigger three weeks for us in recent memory in terms of having a huge impact on what happens next.

Depleted Warriors...7 players out.

Dogs...rock bottom wooden spooners.

Cows...minus their main strike in the backs.

If we win all 3, and we really have no excuses not to, then we will be on 20. We won't make the 8 IMO, but we'd be high enough up for Madge to be guaranteed 2022.

If we lost 2 of the 3, it would be hard to make a case he should not be fired.

Lose all 3 and it would be rock bottom for us and he would basically have to go.

The player market is also drying up rapidly for 2022, so we really need to land someone of note to get the ball rolling for 2022.

**Blore and Stefano, two junior stars, finally starting together. Imagine three straight wins with those two combining well. We could be looking good in three weeks time.**

Imagine three losses vs depleted teams / rabbles below us. It would be absolute rock bottom and you just could not defend the coach, recruitment or anyone.

Massive three weeks.

Can’t fault your enthusiasm mate , hope it’s the case

I just think it is a tipping point one way or the other...

Win all 3 and it would be fair to give Madge 2022.

Lose all 3..even lose 2 of the 3...and it would be really hard to build a case that he should not be punted.

Things should be clearer in a few weeks.

week at a time..

Agreed

But seriously, we can't ever take ourself seriously as contenders till we win 3 in a row. Hasn't been done since 2016 or 2017, which is ridiculous

I utterly respect your views and opinions mate, however, having said that,if our PLAYERS keep arm grabbing, lack line speed in defense, drop balls and make fundamental errors, why sack Madge, the players should be put through the wringer just as you and others have Madge go through it....after all the players win you games and get paid enormously to do that...

Well these 3 weeks will see how much we’ve learned throughout the year. IMO I don’t know where we are at and will be very interesting games ahead.

I don’t think 3 games will/should determine the coach’s future either way. But things are setting up perfectly for us to lose each one of those games.

If they go in with the attitude that these winnable games are in the bag, like they usually appear to (god knows how that is possible), it will be another frustrating 3 losses.

Canberra in form now...the way it's going they'd need to drop games they are expected to win. No chance to make the 8 and if we do, we'd need to win 5 from 7 and our F/A would need to improve out of sight. Possible if we put on big scores against Dogs and Warriors.

When was the last time we won 3 in a row .....AD or BC

Exactly...it has been years.

But we have also never had three straight like this.

Depleted Warriors.
Wooden spoon Dogs
Average Cows without Holmes and the Hammer...

I guess my point for the whole thread is that **there are no excuses left** . We have the least injuries of any NRL squad, are effectively in camp up there, and Madge has claimed he has been building these players.

This is really it. We basically should win all three.

There literally are no excuses left.

Which is why I think it will really tell us exactly where we are.

I know what you mean, but Madge picks the arm grabbers...Madge recruited 90% of the players...Madge has had three years to coach line speed...

After 3 seasons, it is on him at this point.

The next three weeks will show us whether he has them on track or not. Let's see.

Unfortunately mate ,Madge hasnt had 3 years to get the young guys up to NRL level and get the whole team to adapt to the new rules that were only applied this year...
We can all have a dislike toward coaches and players as such, having said that,we must also take in the reality of the circumstances that have been bestowed on Madge during his tenure so far...
cap disorder, discarding players not needed and recruiting talented young guys just learning about the NRL..
Im all for posting negative and positive opinions about particular people within our club, but we must be fair about the task in hand that Madge has been handed since his employment....the rotten culture that he is trying to get rid of is probably his toughest task so far,the wins and better performances will come...it takes time....
