In saying that, if we do win the next 4 and get into the 8 and win against one of the sides in the first week, it would be amazingly good for the squad and the look of the Wests Tigers.

At the least It will give supporers something to look forward to in 2022.

Lost to Warriors by 4 points and 2 points after leading both, lost to Souths in golden point, lost to Cows by 4 after getting pumped in the first half and had a questionable try disallowed for an obstruction and lost to Titans by 8 after mounting a massive comeback.

Sadly we win even 3 of those 5 and we're sitting reasonably comfortably in the 8 with a favorable draw to finish the season out. The team really isn't as bad as most say however it's these close games which unfortunately have been their downfall for a number of years.

If we beat Souths in that close match earlier in the season we would be sailing with the wind at our backs.

I'm not fully understanding the hope of a miraculous 8th place to play in the finals for one additional week. Because, that's all it could be after that shambolic win yesterday over the Dogs. They were abysmal and we were awful.

Would it be seen as some kind of successful season if the miracle happened? Not for mine, it wouldn't.

I'd be happy if we could literally JUST TRY,
For the last few rounds.

Scrape every game in for a win, except for maybe the panthers game.

Finish whatever position, 9th, 10th... but show some pride.

Walk away from a few trash level contracts at seasons end and aim to do BETTER the following season.

I'd love to see something to give me some glimmer of hope we could improve next year. Haven't seen it yet. For me we had one good performance against Rabbitohs in a loss. One. I think its the worst thry have been since the merger. Hope they give me something for 2022. Couple wins and some spirit

Huh! if, but, coulda, wanna what?! If we had one that close won, come back in that other one, played with a little more heart in that Cows one. WHAT?! This is why we don't make the 8 because we accept mediocrity and convince ourselves that somehow we might have made it if this or that went our way in close games. We are a bottom 4 team. We are possibly the worst team in the history of the JV right now and there is no other way to look at it. We lose to crap teams because we suck. Those losses, are losses, no excuses - we are NOT ok. AND we are so far from 9th its funny and people still think that is ok even though woulda coulda / wanna / shoulda etc - we still 13th! Cmon

Completely taking my words out of context. I'm not saying I'm happy where we are as a club nor am I willing to accept 9th as an acceptable ladder position at seasons end. As it sits 13th is nowhere near good enough either however I'm merely stating that the team isn't as far off being competitive as some think. You say we are so far from 9th it's not funny yet it is literally 2 wins.

You posted a lot of dribble there just to disagree however I value your opinion and will just have to disagree on this occasion.

Agree. His effort off the ball is good. Also liked him barking orders in the defensive line. Thats what all good fullbacks need to do.

Admittedly his second game was pretty bad. I do agree, but maybe Madge was worried that he'd ruin him if he persisted, and got him to go back to second grade to iron out the kinks in his game.

If it's me, I'm picking Cini to start at fullback, Simpkin to start and Liddle to come on later. None of this fullback to hooker and fullback on the bench for 55 minutes, thats lunacy.
