The NRL is a joke , Sirros try was a deadset try and it took away any momentum we were working to .Then we let a fairdinkum reserve grader scored down the other end . I gave up at when they put the bomb up near halftime and went upstairs.
Im sorry but with Potter he is making the same mistakes and selection errors Sheens was making .
Saints are a crap side , but we are worse .
If Moltzens in the side they wont be getting my cash anymore .
 
Add Lawrence to that list. Lawrence should be no where but in state cup. I've officially over him. I can't keep making excuses for him. He's an absolute flop.

He knocks on over the line and another leads to a dragons try

why is he even in the 17 , when does he return the ball and make good metres to take the pressure off our forward pack ? thats what a fullback is there to do .he goes to dummy half and just passes it ,, he never has a play in head .. never takes any risks ,,
 
Moltzen was good, we just have a better option unfortunately for him.

Ayshford was solid as he has been for most of this season - I never understand the hate he gets, the guy is tough to pull down.

Lawrence I have to agree with, sadly. He's just not the same; if there is ever a time to say enough it is after that performance. I don't think he will get dropped though.

As for the NO TRY call, I agreed with it. Definitely an obstruction.

Moltzen was great. Tedesco though is better.

Yes - he is solid. Unfortunately that is all he is.

I think he has to stay. He looks dangerous to me. The problem is simple mistakes. I'm not sure but maybe his defence is suspect as well and maybe he would be better on the wing.

I thought it was a try and a good try. Maybe I'll watch it again to see if I have this completely wrong.
 
Moltzen had probably his best game for us in a long time… We were failed by poor options both offensively and in defence. You sling crap at Potter for failures by long term contracted players out of his control, you have to be trolling. We pretty much won the field position, were impotent attacking because of reliance on bombs, centres failed us for points on a platter...

One decision didnt change the game, we lost because a few players arent worth their weight in salt, and that crap is cheap. Across the board averaging the 17 players we did well. Take out the extreme low end performers and we won.
 
Ayshford has been solid with flashes of very good signs though - so calls to drop him are ridiculous IMO. Whereas for Lawrence they are warranted. Ball in hand he has looked okay, but just too many mistakes. I don't know if I'd personally drop him either though… I think a part of me believes he'll come good. We all know how good he can be.

The obstruction was the correct call because Woods (I think it was?) hit the defenders outside shoulder and that exact same gap was run through by Sirro. The defender didn't choose to go for Woods.

Thats the thing though Moh he didn't hit his outside shoulder he hit his inside and Merrin was still able to tackle Siro.If Woods hit the outside then fine but they make the rules they should stick to them and not blanket adjudicte every single call.
 
The problem with today's West Tigers side was it played the majority of the game like a team of clysdales with NO FLAIR. It was only in the final 150 minutes that they realised they were capable of putting in an effort to scoring a try. We need flair, we need Tedesco at fullback, Moltzen to 1/2 and centres with a bit of zip and tackle ability. Lawrence and Ayshford have to go and be replaced by Simona and Nofaluama. If Koro is over his injury bring him back on the wing for the next game in 2 weeks. It is even money however that Potter will still pick the non=achievers who are so obvious except to himself. Potter is one of the most non-ideas coach ever in NRL. Dragons are a sub-standard team and to put up such a timid effort against these no hopers was just disgraceful.
 
Well said Newtown ,, except for Moltzen… i cant stand the guy as a player ,he offer nothing ,He has played long enough to take on a senior role and try to execute a play .
 
Newtown, I would take Lawrence for a long walk down the paddock and bullet him myself, but you cannot rag on Potter for trying to keep some team structure at least while promoting the younger folk as we are screaming for them. Only 2/3 FG players on cap are fit at present pre game today. I feel for Potter not being able to drop under-performers due to injury toll.
 
The obstruction rule is a blot on the game. If they administer it consistently there will be some kind of outcry later in the season when the Storm or other pet side loses a game because of it. It is robbing sides of fair tries for no good reason.

As for Potter, he comes from an era where defence was everything, and grand finals were won 5-2\. He expects tries to just 'happen' once you have earned field position. Ben MM's try is an example, but Moltzen's try came from fast brilliant attacking play. (Not the potter way).

Having said that, his biggest problem is injuries, no one's fault.
