is that we played the dogs. Had we played one of the other top 4 teams, we would have been talking cricket scores..
This said, I am expecting (but probably not really believing) the players to come out with the usual dribble of "we owe it to the fans" or "this is unacceptable" - we've heard it all before. The sad reality is that we have a club that is run by an incompetent management group, seemingly diabolically busy swapping deck chairs on the Titanic; a group of players who really don't seem to care (I don't know what Daine Laurie has to smile about, unless he is thinking, what the heck, I am getting paid anyway..) and an interim coach that has been put in a there as yet anothe foil between the club and the media. As fans, it's all well and good for some media outlets to be saying "stick solid" but even the most passionate of us will struggle to find a reason to continue to believe, other than, as I do, think there is only the jersey to love.
I search, and hope, like we all do, for answers, but an outcome remains elusive as ever, I'm afraid. And another season follows the previous.
What I'd like to see is wipe the slate clean; forget appointing yesterday's leftovers and develop a clucb over time that is based on solid grounds and VISION. If this doesn't happen, we may as well continue to live in this makebelief land of West Tigers, and hope that things will get better, even if we don't know how...
