The Pre Season Injuries have started...NOT good news

Hi All,

I am not one to like to give this news, but I heard today from a customer, another mad Tigers Supporter, who knows one of the WT players very well that.
1) Todd Payten has torn another Hamstring
2) Tame's knee is still playing up
3) Cayless has injured his shoulder
4) But the rest of the team is the fittest that it has even been , thanks to the Cane Master, Folkes

Geo, I wished it was a gee up, but why would you think I would try to stir the pot, with such crappy news. I am just relaying what my good account customer, who is very creditable, said to me today.

And just lets say , STS, that it's a player fighting for a spot on the team, who wanted to beef up, but the CaneMaster has made it very hard to do so with his tough pre season training.

I mean't he might be geeing you up….but if not the case... thanks for the crappy news I guess.....

What is it with Payten and hamstrings.........geez.......and Cayless....Our Prop rotation is up the crapper if that's the case.......

Better to manage some niggles now when the timing makes them managable than in the season proper. Hopefully our depth succeeds where it has failed in previous seasons

I have a mate who is very good friends with the Cayless brothers & yes Cayless shoulder isn't 100% & will probably never will be BUT he should be right for the start of the season.He also said don't expect Cayless to having too much game time
He will probably be used more as an impact player @ first but obviously if he's making an impression he will get more game time.

Atleast we have depth. Maybe Andrew Fafita will get a run earlier then expected. I hope so. I really want to see how he steps up to 1st grade sooner rather then later.

I think Fifita will be entrenched as a starting prop by round 5…firstly although young , hes talented & adds size & strength,but more concerningly that galloway,Payten & cayless unfortunately have long records of being injury prone.I hope Im wrong,but Cayless & payten particularly are showong the effects of a decade in top grade playing front row...
I worry how we'll cope (yet again)when we play teams like Souths,Parra,Penrith etc with their heavyweight packs..even counting Fifita I reckon were a front rower or two less than were we need to be

Unfortunately, yet again, we have acquired some players with inherent injuries, so as the season progresses we are going to have to depend on some of the young guys to "step-up" - and hope that our current forwards can remain uninjured.

I'm expecting very little from Tame this season. A part of me feels he'll be gone by round 1-3 due to his knee. If he's having problems now, they're not going to improve once the season rolls around. Doesn't look too good for him.

I recall that this was a speculative signing that is not a large drain on the Cap.

I hope Tame comes good as he would be an awsome weapon on the park wherever he plays.

One of the senior players talked up Cayless mentioning he would be WT best buy. But did mention his stuffed shoulder and has bad knees as well.
