Tames knee is a big concern it sounds like it is just going to be a reacuring injury, maybe his contract would be better spent on Mason

Flushing money down a toilet is spending it better than buying Mason. Rubbish player (has been since 2006), and a bad influence off the field. I think people want to sign him for the sake of signing a bad boy.

Mason would be a better signing than Daniella, Brown Tupou and Cayless all put together. Actually, I would swap all four players for Mason.

Wests Tigers recruitment for 2010 has been disgracefull. What good players have they signed that actually played NRL in 2009\. the answer is none.

No good quality 1str grade NRL player is overly excited about being coached by th Fonz.

When was the last time the Wests Tigers signed a rep player from another NRL club?

Hahahahahahahha. The sooner we Sack Sheens the better,

Mason needs to be told to stay away from Sydney's seediest locations and he will be right.

When do the gus axctually train on the feild? Does one simply walk through the gate and sit in the stands??

No way Bug!

Mason is a decent player, but you need so much more than that to build a successful club. Thankgod sheens came when he did, I would hate to go back to the dirty Tigers days with Baa Lamb, Hill and Hoppa. At least we can all respect and get behind this team! I would find it hard to cheer on Mason.

The work that Sheens has done to transform the club that he got lumped with at the start, to create what we have today, including winning a premiership, is second to none. He has done and awesome job and I for one, want him to leave the coaching position on his own terms. He deserves that.

The guys who we have signed are all great, because they have potential and we probably didn't sign them for much. I assume locking down the current playing roster and juniors costs us a bit of cash, so I think these guys that we bought were thifty and add so much to our depth. I love that we don't sign rep players from other clubs, but build our own rep players from juniors!!

We just needed a bit more starch to the pack, cayless/moors, and a good half option, taumata. We weren't that far off running into the finals last year! Nothing much needs to change! Add Lote to the mix and it is looking VERY good.

Who have we lost that is regrettable? Gallant is the only one and that is the only thing that has upset me about sheens. The Tiger's win stats alone with him in the team show that Sheens was wrong in this case. The good thing is that I think we let him go knowing that we can buy him back. His heart still seems to be with the Tigers.

Anyway, I'm excited about 2010! Perfect mix of experience, youth, size and speed. Can't wait!!!!

One of your best Bug…....

I'd like to think Wests Tigers build from within ......you know the great nursuries of the McArthur and the inner West....

We are not like the Rorters or the Sharkies or Scumdogs....who have to pay massive overs to buy Rep players from other Clubs.....to try and win a Comp.....Geez the Dogs Premiership of -04 was built on the back of the rort of '02

With the exception of Manly who have been trying to buy a Comp since their inception....How successful have those clubs been in the past 5 years....In winning a Comp...

Spartan.....Tuesday Mornings. Thursday and Friday Arvo's you'd have a chance of seeing them train on the field...they mix it up.....Yes just walk throught the gate and choose your seat.....

I think guys like this see Willie Mason's name in the paper, and get all giddy about it.

Quite simply, you are a goose, and anybody who would actually want both Mason and Daine Laurie at their club is in no position to criticise anybody's recruitment policies.

a couple of things
1.

Mason would add a lot to our forward pack,a lot more than a injury pronne cayless whos played what under 10 games in 2 years???

2.

The work that Sheens has done to transform the club that he got lumped with at the start, to create what we have today, including winning a premiership, is second to none. He has done and awesome job and I for one, want him to leave the coaching position on his own terms. He deserves that.

Coaches have to get the best out of the player and imo this isnt happening
also anyone stupid enough to keep morris at half for 2 and a half years even though they knew it wasnt working should not be coaching
when he first came to the club he had the right attitude (not playing players out of postion) and it worked but now he doesnt care and we have suffered for it by not making the 8 since

3.

The guys who we have signed are all great, because they have potential and we probably didn't sign them for much. dont we have enough guys with Potential already? why not try and get the best out of those players first

if Cayless plays more than half the games than he will be a good signing if he doesnt than we will be stuck with 1 prop

do u really see brown that big a upgrade at center than say Halatau??? or Moors that big a upgrade over Payne or Galea?
i actually like moors but i rate Payne and Galea over him easily

Anything else that you want to completely take the negative viewpoint of? Where is the heart of the Tiger's supporters these days?

A couple of comments
1\. Cayless is carrying injury, yes, but if we signed Steve Price, Petro, Asotasi, would you say the same thing? They must be no good to sign either. p.s. Mason is a second rower, Cayless is a prop. We have heaps of second rowers.
2\. You don't think Sheens has got the best out of Lawrence, Marshall, Moltzen, Tui? I'm a little frustrated with his selections sometimes, especially around the 1,6,7 this year when Gallant was left on the sidelines. But, he also probably didn't think Prince would leave. He was left in a bit of a pickle when we bought Morris. Weren't too many options. Surely you can value him more than picking the wrong guy for halfback and ending his contract as soon as he could?
3\. There is something wrong with an abundance of players with potential? We have our share of big names, marshall, farah, ellis, cayless… 2 world XIII players this year. A golden boot nominee. NZ captain...
4\. Left with 1 prop if cayless drops out? You actually mean we are left with 1 prop that has rep potential in 2010? right? rather than 2 rep players as props? Don't think Gibbs, Moors, Fifita,
5\. Those guys didn't live up to the potential. Time to try a new batch of possiblities! Again though, we got rid of a bunch of second rowers that we didn't need.

All i can say is bring it on !! It's going to be one hell of a year

One of the senior players talked up Cayless mentioning he would be WT best buy. But did mention his stuffed shoulder and has bad knees as well.

Where did this senior player talk up Cayless? I'd love to read about it if it's still available.

the thing is, these are disappointing blows, but if we had the same team on the field that demolished the bulldogs, i'd be happy!

Not from injury. It's because of the birth of his son - http://www.weststigersforum.com/news-and-views/first-grade/news-a-views/81-ellis-out-of-all-stars-squad" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
