The pressure is off

we are not favourites anymore - we are not mature enough as a team to handle this tag. nothings changed from last year so far. i have hope that we will change - in sheens we trust.

If we drift out a bit in odds it might be a good time to load up. We were never going to be able to stay as premiership favourites, which is good as we are so much better as the underdog.

I was always dumbfounded at that tag. I can't remember the last time this team was ever consistently good/solid and apart from the high profile signing Blair, we are still fielding a new spine (1, 6,7 & 9). So confusing.

This team always tends to rely on a back of season run (in which some years hasn't been enough to make the top 8) and the only way we are are ever going to win a premiership is if we are firing on all cylinders come September.
In 2010 we were unlucky not to beat a red hot Dragons and well, last year, it was stolen at the death v the Warriors when we seemingly had controlled most of the match.

Long way to go but I'm hoping the injury curse doesn't hurt us too much in the front end of the season and we're having to rely on another winning streak :frowning:

We are a very inconsistant side, but we are also fielding:
3 current Australian Internationals,
2 current English Internationals,
2 Current NZ internationals,
1 former NZ International,
1 former Australian duel International
and 2 City/Country reps.
and some of the games most impressive youngsters.
They are all coached by the current Australian coach.

This side really does need to grow up and play to its potential. That is an impressive roster which should easily win more games than it loses…
