The punters/Tim Grant

The punters reckon Tim Grant will join the tigers. What do you guys think will happen. If he does come he will up size our forward pack and give the tigers more grunt in attack and defence. Seems life a hard runner who likes to make good meters up the field. In defence it seems like he is not afraid to put his body on the line.

Who is the punters?

Anywhom, would be a great addition to our side, suddenly our pack doesn't look too bad even with the loss of Taupau.

Who knows.

He obviously has the ability but for whatever reason has been moved on from 2 clubs in 2 years.

He is the type of guy that would go to Melbourne a become a star. He could also come to the tigers and continue his decline.

I wouldnt be against it but he would be a risk.

To me he seems to allow niggling to get to him and loses discipline. Having said that if he was cheap welcome aboard.

wouldnt be bad if he costs bugger all… Having a hard head like Grant off the bench can be beneficial to the Wests Tigers Pack.

He's got the strength and build, but it's his inconsistency, that what let's him down.

we took a punt on Taupau and it worked out well for us.

I wouldn't say no to having him at WT. As long as his price is reasonable.

Taupau was a young player with a lot of potential. Grant is old and on the decline. I'd take him if we pay <100k/2nd tier contract.

Experience is all he has. Like a worse version of Galloway. But he would have a point to prove wherever he goes which could bring him back to life.

I thought he was really poor for Souths this season. He was aggressive with his carry on but not with his attack or defence. Long past his best.

I agree.

Some games he came on firing, but disappeared after a few minutes. He and Nathan Brown played the same way, all energy spent in a few carries.

Souths will be paying some of his contract so if the price is right I say sign him up. He's young and had origin experience. Playing with Woods and Farah may give him that spark to try and get his gun form back.

Grant would slot straight into the 17

Always happy to have an experience player join our ranks given our lack of ability to attract big names over the years without paying overs for the honour. Welcome aboard Grant if this rumour turns out to true.

We have more rumours on this forum than most women's magazines which I can't stand.
