The Sky's The Limit

If the Tigers win in convincing fashion tomorrow night, does this mean the sky's the limit where we can finish this year? I think a win tomorrow night will be a defining moment in our season and it will give the boys belief that they can match any team (the quality is there, still not sure about the belief). If this happens, we will kick on and have a top 8 or better season. If they put 50 on us, things will be much like last season. I think we can do it. Bring on tomorrow night, can't wait!

I saw Wests Magpies beat defending premiers Parramatta 32-16 in the first game at Orana Park in 1987 …. We didn't do much after that !
Either way I don't think we can make a call after tomorrow night. I'll still stick to my 12th I started the year with.

It is round three Bohdi. Tomorrow night will not define our season either way. We could beat them comprehensively and run 14th, we could get flogged and come 7th. It is a bloody long season and the comp is close.
Don't get me wrong, I hope to win and win well. Won't get too excited though no matter what the result. Will just enjoy watching the boys take on a premiership favourite.

really you won't be even a LITTLE excited if we thrash em by 20?

i know what you said could happen, but i cant imagine a fan not thinking '2014 premiership' just a little bit if we win convincingly tomorrow (even if they dont want to show it on the outside :stuck_out_tongue: )

personally, keeping within 12 would be a solid result. Can't be too upset with that assuming the boys have had a go

There is too many variables to say that a win tomorrow night equals a big year for us.
If we can put a streak together off the back of said win then things will change.

i think hopes and expectations could be getting a little on the high side by a lot of people, but its great that we have that hope. still, i bear in mind that the titans were not very good….

i agree that if they were to win tomorrow night it would give the players a feeling of "we can really do this!" and would be a massive win for them, which could lead to more victories over more fancied teams.

im still sticking to my hope for this year that the team just remains competitive and plays with heart, whilst the young guys continue to develop.

at this stage, just being competitive with the bunnies for 80 mins will do me.

Defining Moment and define our season are two very different things. A strong wining performance tonight will give the team bucket loads of confidence and I believe this will filter into the teams mind set for the remaining season. (even a strong loss will go a ways to making this happen also)
I'm surprised you would not get a little excited with a win tonight Stryker (hard marker), when in the season does the excitement kick in?
I take as much pleasure in kicking each of the other teams arses' as I do about winning the whole thing. So each win is excitement for me.

i understand what you're saying bodhi, and agree that if they were to win tonight, it could very well be a defining **moment** in the season. how could it not?

i would love for them to get into them tonight and if they pull of the win it would be awesome!
it would send the media into a frenzy over brooks… even more so!
