The State Cup form line...

In racing terms, the reggies form line is holding up...

Jake has come in and looked at home...

Cini today...right at home...

Seyfarth has been a workhorse in reggies and, importantly, scrambled really well. Got longer mins today and was everywhere...30 tackles / 1 miss. Was on the ball, covered, first to kicks.

The form line is holding up very, very, nicely.

I hate to single out Brooksy, but he had a million shots on their line and did nothing. It took Laurie to step up and create. Madden would really add a lot of direction to our sets in opp 20.

Blore will come in soon...
Tuki not long after...
Tuilagi is an NRL back rower...
Amone bends the line like no one else we have...

There's the pack variety we need...

Penrith's reserves form line from 24-36 months ago was incredible and time has proved it right.

Not comparing them, but ours is looking promising...

Sounds good. Seyfarth looked good to me. Tamou, Twal, Joe O should be worried about their spots.

Brooks played well in the second half.

Brooks defence was excellent all game.Hopefully confidence from that will spark his attack

I disagree with this.

Jake S has been okay (at best) but no where near his dominance in State Cup.

Cini was good but, again, far less effective than in State Cup.

Both of them looked far better than Madden in State Cup. Madden would have let Kerr go through him 4 times today.

I am a Seyfarth fan. Anyone who plays with that much heart is alright with me

His defense has always been good...as has his running game...

Brooksy's issue is in the opp 20. He likely will never improve that, he has had 7 years. Our points score record in opp 20 is almost as bad as the historically terrible Dogs.

Maybe Brooks 14?

Fair comment, perhaps even try him at 6

Cini was great defensively today against much bigger players. He was only more dominant in State Cup as he plays FB. For the ball he got today, you could not ask for more.

Jake okay, at best? Hmmm...let's agree to disagree. Nice passes on the chest, tons of tackles, everywhere...for an 19 yo at 9 he looks great IMO.

I agree Brooks D is better than Jock's....but Madden's service and structure is much better.

Great post. We’ve got some good ones coming through, exciting times.

Brooks had a try assist and 3 forced drop outs all from within the opposition 20. Almost had another assist but for the hand of Joey Leilua. Yes he wasn't great in the first half, but he was fantastic in the second half. Almost a flawless performance from a halfback in terms of controlling where the game is played and keeping pressure on the other team.

He looked very angry early. I think it was at Twal who took the ball up after an offload instead of passing it. I think he is starting to feel the pressure. He still needs to get alot better and we will need to string some wins together otherwise you can bet madden will debut this year at 7.

I don't know mate, I tend to agree with Ennis. Brooksy had a million shots on their line and all he called was a prop hit up into traffic.

Ennis was spot on that they were shot multiple times and Brooksy did not see it.

AD and Laurie looked way more threatening.

Seyfarth will be a good forward. Whether it is with WTs or another team that high work rate and mobility in the modern game will be sort after. I enjoyed his offload as well.

I thought Brooks was decent again. The thing is AD and Laurie are a lot more threatening.

He was really good. I'd like to see him nail a spot.

Amone may be overtaken by a young player from Flegg. Fonua Pole looks to be a very good player.

Probably an unpopular opinion but AD needs to pass the ball more. It seems like he runs 50% of the time, especially close to the line, and it stifles our attack.

Once again Brooks is copping it for not setting up enough tries, last week it was not enough set restarts. It doesn’t matter what he does anymore.

He's our top dollar halfback who's claimed he's leading the team. You can't just do one thing and be bad at the others. Kicking improved but his attack close to the line lacked composure. Needs to put it all together
