Anyone see this yesterday?
I missed it….
A caller on talkinsport this arvo rang asking about it.
Apparently they were talking about the Tigers performance, how bad we were...Freddy says something like "I think they had their minds on ....." and the Gould Chimes in with "Yeah I think youre right....."
But they didnt actually elaborate on just what it was their minds may have been on.
Left us hanging!

????

Anyone?
 
It was more along the lines of Fittler saying some players probably had their minds on other things.
Then a little bit later Gould gave his thoughts (he didnt chime) in and agreed with Fittler and said 'i think i know what your talking about'

I just assumed it was Origin selection…..

maybe its a combo of things
1.liam fulton leaving and maybe gibbs? maybe some of the boys arent happy?
2.tim moltzen neqoitiating with cronulla or souths & benji not happy???
3.farah not making origin or peeved of at beau????
4.if weve signed adam blair for big money and releasing a number of players?

who knows maybe its something going on behind the scenes? hope it gets sorted quick…..
 
could Steve Folkes departing from wests-tigers and heading to dragons as assistant coach be a contributing factor?
maybe the players hoped he would be offered/take that role at wests-tigers
 
Remember, it's Freddie Fittler here, so it would have been something simple…........

Actually, I thought it was the origin non-selections, but hey, if you know nothing, why not fly a kite and pretend you know anyway......
 
It also could be some players getting released LIKE FULTON AND GIBBS thatS what i thought it may be or benji and robbie not getting along.
 
I was not watching but was listening I can remember them talking about the tigers and how they are hot n cold . I can remember them asking TK about the Tigers . He said he thought we would make the eight and once we get their and if we are full strength we could test the top sides . Spoke about the pass that almost got intercepted from Benji in dying seconds and Benji's response and Gus mentioned he would not of even spoken to benji about it at the time . Can't remember any talk about the Tigers being unhappy or Gus saying 'I know what you are talking about " . And seeing I was listening for tit bits to put on the forum something like that would of stood out like dogs balls to put it mildly .But I would not put my life on it either if you know what I mean

The general gist from Gould was that some players didn't think that they needed to really start playing until July and could still win the comp and that the Tigers "had a bit of that going on".

In the end he said he said he'd picked the Tigers as one of the premiership contenders at the start of the year and still believes we will make the 8, maybe top 5 or 6.

Fitler and TK also believed the Tigers will make the 8, TK adding that he still sees the Tigers as a major premiership threat
 
This team is soooo frustrating. If they don't want to be held accountable then pump up and perform. This is not a playground, if you want to play with your friends, go play park footy. If your unhappy about a player being held accountable for his performance, then have a sook about it, your probably better off leaving with him. If we need to keep an underperforming player on the books to keep Benji happy then we need new management. If I pulled that crap at work I would be fired. They get paid extremely well, so suck it up princess and earn that paycheck, don't sook and play like someone stole your lollipop. The boys want to know why no one was picked for Origin? Look at the crap they served out on Saturday night! Rant over!!!!!!

if this were true then that would prove Marshall is the biggest spoilt brat n sook in the competition…i seem to remember last yr around the time of the Souths debacle there was a rumor going round that Marshall wasn't happy coz the tigers back flipped on upgrading Moltzen's contract coz of his injury...the way he carried on when Sheens was deciding on his future was nothing short of embarrasing n disgusting...to actually admit he had been sick to his stomach over it was nothing short of pathetic...i realy feel sorry for the next tigers coach if Marshall is still around coz he will carry on like a spoilt brat
 
I think if any comment was made by Fittler, Gould or Rothfiled, then I would be paying more attention to the lint in my clothes dryer. Throw in MG, TK and Laurie Daley and then you have the who's who of sensational BS journalist and presenters, many of whom know very little but pretend to know a lot. :blah

Gould = Wannabe sensationalist with a severely overrated list of abilities and ego to match
TK = Horse racing nut, nothing else.
Rothfield = Who? If it aint Cronulla, it just aint!
MG = Occasionally funny but his opinions are like his playing days - wild and out of control
Daley & Fittler = Living proof the exceptionally great players do not necessarily transfer into much else.

Sure, I like TK, and Fittler as well, but the others are 'nuffys'.

I would take anything these people say with a grain of salt.
 
Beji is a great player and i would hate to see him playing for any other club or for him to leave us, but i love the tigers more and no one player is bigger than this club. If these rumours are true about him being unhappy with moltzen being shopped around, maybe he should take a paycut to try and keep him here.

Im getting a bit over hearing about this stuff even if they are rumours, where there is smoke there is fire and he has the runs on the board after the way he acted regarding sheens contract.
 
I agree with spartan they all talk crap, nothing else to do & no one would watch their show. Remember this mob puts on the footy show = crap.

couldn't have said it any better myself…NO player is bigger than the tigers i don't care who u name...we all love the players of course but would we still love them if they went elsewhere? no...eg Scott Prince...the tigers will b around long after every1 involved at the tigers atm moves on...n to put it bluntly Benji just acted like a complete tool during the Sheens saga
