Need to go private. Sell the club, turn it into an accountable organisation with kpi structures in place from the top down.

?.. the current board , CEO , chairwoman etc haven’t got a clue about footy ..
All they care about is making a profit .
Rot starts at the top !

Been rotten for so long. Has to be the front office

I fix clubs for a living. Pubs, rsls, whatever, that are losing money. I make them profitable, or give them indications on how they can improve.
They don't listen to me all the time, even though I have 20+ yrs experience.
90% of the time, the reason they are failing, is the board.

Great idea, let’s use a sample size of one game to make some sweeping conclusions.

Surely you jest, it wasn't just last nights game, the NRL team as a whole have regressed at an alarming rate the last 2 years, changes need to be made, and made now

If Walsh went off in the first minute instead of Laurie we would have won

So many ifs and buts from us fans - the warriors had so many excuses to lose and they didn't. It's gotten to the point were we are out of finding excuses to make up for them. Enough is enough.

Crack the bottle of champers and bring in the nibbles....the conversation just goes round and round....I dont know if its the champers or the conversation but Im getting dizzy...

AGREE THAT SOME hate Madge, some hate the players, some hate the CEO,some hate the club....

Myself I get sick of having an opinion on this team and when I think I have found out why we are going wrong, something else comes out to astound me even further....

There is just nothing left after last night. Not a single excuse left for both of them.

We need to move on as a club.

In horse racing terms...you see owners who put their horses in G1s and G2s and keep on making excuses why their horse runs 9th or 10th.

Then, one day, they drop the horse down to an open class race...get a perfect track...every single thing in their favour.

And the horse fails to win again.

And everyone just knows it is over.

That is us.

What do we do now ?

You made me laugh 🙂 It's so true

Don’t know what Maguire can do to coach bonehead decisions out of players.
I think you can forget the hardnose coach that people allude to.
If anything he has been too soft on some players and given them too many chances to redeem themselves.
All you can do is drop them or get rid of them and I sure hope we can get rid of plenty.

If you remember CK,the group whinged about Madges hardline training and revolted against him....so Madge does the right thing and softens his stance on hard work ethics.....
Guess what....we are now seeing the result of being soft on the guys who want to make a career out of rugby league...its showing in the results on the field....

The club isn’t losing money, in fact they are surging ahead?

I don’t think the board will change, as there are no members to vote on them. From what I see, the board seem to give the management what ever they need, not sure they would interfere.

Rightly, we should all be unhappy with the NRL team results, but I am confident that we will turn the corner, sooner rather than later. Records are made to be broken😅

None of us will ever leave, we are here for life.

So how do you explain Cleary's much less hard nosed approach and seemingly better performances if not wins?

Look at a Maguire post match presser and it is a disaster. Cleary has a much more laid back approach and the journalists respond.

In one of the pre-game dressing room shots, Maguire is standing gesticulating to his team. Few seem interested. Compare that to Cleary at Penrith where he is sitting in a far less threatening manner and his players are listening.

Hard nosed does not necessarily mean better or smarter.

I was just giving an example of problems within an organisation relating to financial issues. The structure seems to be rotten with the tigers as well. I usually find the problem to be the board.

It may not make them smarter or better....but it would certainly make them tougher opposition .....

Or lackadaisical as we saw last night.
