Think Pink and design our Wests Tigers jersey

A quick update (replaced NRL logo wth Telstra Premiership logo) and the final colour option design added:

Best design ever Craegus! I like the V front far better than the **BBQ apron front we have now lol**

:roll Nice one Flip!…....all the current jersey is missing is a big pair of plastic hooters on the front

I 'd be up for that. IMO we don't need the white jersey though, dunno why the WT management persist with it, the black and the gold one would suffice.

Very cool design Craegus, it is simple and has that tough look about it, what you would want in a footy team. Well done!

Thanks, I just wanted to see what could be done using the elements from my WiL design. The V's were added as it was too plain without them, plus it gives the design a slight throwback feel and incorporates all the design elements into a single design rather than several separate elements (e.g. side panels, sleeve design and separate V's).

The white is more of a pre-season design, or a second alternate which would be worn in the early season or for trips to Townsville when the white would be a better choice in the heat/humdity.

Yep they would certainly fit nicely on there

I'm definitely up for signing a petition to push for Craegus' latest designs - how good are they! They're right up there with the heritage stripes jerseys. Surely WT management could see the value in taking on this design for next season.

These are fantastic!
So they probably won't be accepted

I sometimes think that in situations like this, too professional looking and exceptional designs are overlooked for fear of them overshadowing the current designs the club use and possibly causing embarrasment

Those designs look nice Craegus, better than the last few jerseys we've had.

Can you modify the the middle V to be smaller than the top and bottom Vs? (more like your signature banner) I think it would look even better (particularly on the orange one). Maybe also raise the V line so the middle one lines up with the NRL logo and club badge rather than the top one.

Also maybe fill in the side panels with a honeycomb effect like the 05-07 era - i'd love to see the honeycomb come back as it looked ok and was unique.

The white one looks absolutely brilliant.

Great work Creagus, I would buy those for sure.

p.s., good oportunity to drag some extra dollars out of Meriton. Although possibly not intentional, the big V coupled with the flanking stripes essentially looks like a giant M

The middle of the 2 V's is actually only half the size if the V's themselves, any smaller and it doesn't look quite right (I did try it).

Currently the top of the v's sits at the top of the shoulder where the shoulder stripe runs, so the front and back of the jersey flow, if I was to raise the V's up then it would cause the v's to end on the front and not match the back of the jersey. Though this isn't a new thing, I was going for a flowing design where all elements are a part of each other (as you can see the v's come off the repsective colour on the side panels), rather than being sevral elements thrown on and expected to work together.

I could add honeycomb (I really did like it in our old designs as it was unique) but I think it would make the design too busy. Though the design isn't extremely simplistic, it is a modern take on a traditional design, sadly honeycomb goes too far in this case.

I'd call them chevrons…..where they go to the arm
True V's go to the shoulder

Picky I know.....but its really bothered me how they changed this with the Aussie jerseys
...they dont have a tru V any more

Bad

Ok well to probably nitpick even more one is a V (as it does go to the shoulder, even though only just) and the other is a chevron. So there is the best of both worlds!!!

Not a fan….the collar is horrible too....looks like an old wetsuit

Looks ridiculous, still better than an apron though

Sheesh, that is the first time I have seen those Australian Test jumpers, what an insult that thing is! :wtf
Who designs those jumpers? They really could not look much worse TBH. Disgraceful.

And what about the side of the shorts?…...looks like they have been cut out of an old polar fleece jumper with all the stitching and stuff on there. If you can be in the business of designing footy apparel and get away with coming up with something that bad and still keep your job where the hell do I sign up to get on the payroll?

AFL Teams keep their strips for decades and never change the main home strip.. RL should take a leaf out of that book and leave designs alone…

Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the winner of the Women In League design competition.

Following extensive consultation with members, corporate partners, playing group and retailers, the Club decided to go with the jersey designed by Simon Lilley. The jersey was the letter 'F' design in the final four.

“This traditional jersey has a heritage feel about it and celebrates more than 100 years of women's involvement in the clubs and in Rugby League in general,’’ Lilley said.

“It is also 75 seasons since the 1939 Balmain Tigers grand final win although there was an extra strip in each transition in that jersey.”

Grant Mayer, Wests Tigers General Manager of Commercial Operations, said the jumper represents all things that are important to the Club.

“The jumper has classic design elements from both clubs. It has retail appeal as it doesn’t clash with any other jersey in our range and has wide ranging support from the playing and fan base,’’ Mayer said.

“There will be some people who will be disappointed that their first choice didn’t win this time but we are extremely confident the design will prove exceptionally popular.

Simon will receive a signed Women in League jumper as well as an Out of Towners Membership with Wests Tigers and a place in history!

When told of the winning entrant, Wests Tigers Prop Aaron Woods was excited about the jersey.

“When the Club showed me the final six options, I voted for this particularly jersey.

“Having seen the finished product in the office, I was convinced this was the right jersey for this Club.”

The jumper will be released on sale for the round 9 clash against Cronulla at Allianz Stadium on Friday, May 10.

Pre-released orders for Wests Tigers Members only will be available from May 1.

Stay tuned for more information. Congratulations Simon from all at Wests Tigers.

Geez for a competition which only ended a week or so ago they certainly got a prototype out quickly….

Smells a bit fishy to me...
