and im suicidal watching us play this poorly

You know what? I've gone completely in the opposite direction with my thoughts and feelings.

After over 50 years of avidly supporting first Wests and now Wests Tigers - heart racing throughout every match, jumping up and down like a maniac at games, running out of the loungeroom because I couldn't bear to look at the TV in close matches, angry & depressed when they lose, elated when they win - I seriously now could not care less!

I am completely unemotional when watching the Tigers play now, I don't care if they win and I don't care if they lose - my God, I never in all my life thought that I would end up like this!! I thought that I would always haven that emotional connection when watching my footy team go around, no matter how much I tried to stay calm and disassociated, but all the years of turmoil, mediocrity, mismanagement, bad press, bad decisions, disunity, constant rebuilding phases, lack of fight shown by the players and potential never realised, I genuinely couldn't give a sh!t anymore.

My sentiments exactly !

Well if you two don't give a –-- anymore - why do you expect the team to?

Its their job so you would expect they do care with or without Hobbos support, after all the majority of them are paid well above what the average australian brings home.

It's time to get a real second rower. Not a crippled centre posing as one.
Enough is enough with Lawrence. He has been great club man but it's time.

I was at the Storm game at Leichhardt. Lawrence was a stand out. Close to our best. Always puts in. Runs hard, runs the hard painful lines, usually on the end of a telegraphed pass from Luke Brooks into the teeth of 3 or 4 forwards waiting to smash him. Gets up and does it again. Ill take that from any Tiger at the moment.

I believe that after 5 rounds, its clear that things are really bad but not as bad as it looks. My reason for saying this is that I believe that 75% of our problem is actually fitness. For me watching at Leichhardt last week it was clear as day that we are simply not fit. We were gasping after 30mins and the two long range Storm tries were simply Tigers hands on hips in the middle sucking air rather than tackle. We cant have put the work in during the preseason. This lack of fitness is making any lack of talent/coaching to be magnified. The other 25% of the problem is lack of talent and poor coaching but the FITNESS can be fixed but its going to take a while.

10 metres out from our own line and he picks out nightingale. If he wants his $900k he is dreamin.

Nightingale is a footballer's footballer. Always well positioned, does all the little things right. I'd have him at the Tiges in a heartbeat.

JLJ didn't have many opportunities but he was fairly average with what he did. Even just a bit more tempo would have been good, something for the fans to notice and go "oh he's having a dig, good on him". What I noticed, and I was watching fairly carefully, was a handful of good kicks, absolutely zero passing game, no running game and a few arm-grabs.

Yep. And the last thing we need is a poor man's Luke Brooks/

Which on a relative basis in this team is "ok"!

Nightingale has been way below his best this year… Until yesterday

How embarrassing to say you support this mob.

Can't remember the last time I wore my jersey .

Can't believe I used to have Wests Tigers number plates on my ute

Even the [automatically edited] at the RMS laughed when I handed them in :bash

Keep up the good work Wests Tigers

My plate ends in WT1, purely accidental .i think I may muddy them up.

This basket case of a club hasn't given a toss a lot longer than we have !
Do I need to explain it all out to you ? :unamused:

Aaaagggghh, maybe because they are paid big money to give a…. !

Quick play the balls is killing us both in possession and when the other mob have possession. Our blokes take ages to get off the ground and generally the other team fly to their feet. That is one of the reasons our attack is weak and our defence gets caught out.

I look at Melbourne they slow the ruck speed down when defending and it is lightning fast when they have the ball. Okay the might push the rules and get away with a bit, but they are willing to back their defence if they do give away a penalty. We have enough trouble defending one set, but I do think our play the ball is our major problem area

That's one thing I noticed yesterday as I paid heavy attention to it supercoach.

We rarely ever turn the ball carrier around or on their back. Considering we were pack hitting with three or four blokes regularly and still only just getting the man down it was a dismal effort.

You could argue, Melbourne have become so good at pushing the boundaries at the ruck, they have bought themselves extra space. It's the unprepared / untrained sides that are clumsy in the ruck work and get pinged.

This has been our big problem for years now.
We're very poor off the ground.

Yep one of the reasons Woods anoys me he's constantly trying to get penalties instead of quick play the balls I'll be surprised if he gets picked for NSW

We're very poor off the ground.

We won 2005 basically on the back of our ruck speed. The last few years it has been terrible and that basically because we are getting over powered both with the ball in attack and without the ball in defence. Unlike what Webster said after the Dragons game there is no quick fix, but in attack playing a high tempo game, playing direct and doing everything in your power to get a quick play the ball will certainly give Moses and Tedesco some chance to attack. Cast your mind back to the Souths game, thats what we did, Sue and Lawrence just screamed up the middle and got quick play the balls going.

Anyway obviously easy said than done and of course the skill of the other team will dictate how quick you play the ball not to mention the refs
