Thoughts on Lui

He will get picked next week but probably shouldn't Took a heap of bad options in attack The pass to Fulton was just plain stupidity . Dropped kick off benefit of the doubt due to slippery conditions . His defence seemed improved tonight . I just lack confidence in him and cringe every time he touched the ball now

Tonight wasn't bad but there have been games when I have been praying he doesn't get the ball in his hands.

I'd love to see him develop his defence and start taking the right option in attack but who knows how he will turn out.

Isn't there any NRL club chasing him? 😱pen_mouth:   UK SuperLeague ??  Picton Group 7 ?
Honestly, what the coach sees in him is beyond me (and has been for months!)

his kicking game tonight was good, but this year been very hot and cold. he's caught the tigers disease. good one game rubbish the next.

This is a quote when we win the game ..the sooner we get a proper 1/2 the better ,Lui is a 5/8 and plays like one ..

Which game this year?? :astonished:

I know it's been tried before, but I'd have Farah at 7 till the end of this season. Get him a bit wider in defense to cut his tackle count. Let him guide the team around with some flashy stuff when appropriate. Lui is all over the shop at the moment.

dont get me wrong im not saying he's had a good year by any stretch but he will have a decent game like tonight then next week bang, he's off again.

No way should he be demoted after that performance. It was his best defensive display and he did everything he should do. Sure he made an error or two but that performance is how Robert Lui should play for our side and to demote him after finally getting it right is a braindead move.

Ans keeping him there is not? We are getting towards the part of the season where you either are or are not, IMHO

Still easily the best option we got

wrong

If you think Miller is a better option right now than Lui, then you are mistaken. Miller has no combinations with the side, he would be as useful as Ray Thompson. A passenger watching the proceedings. Miller is a skillful player, fantastic talent, but Lui is going to be far more effective than Miller for us this year…

How is swapping out Robert Lui from Jacob Miller the right thing to do? Neither Miller or Moltzen have shown anything at all this season. Lui is far from perfect but he at least is TRUSTED by Farah and Marshall to get the job done. He also has the confidence to overcall them, which Miller doesn't. Lui has been our halfback in training for two years… We can't drop him now 6 weeks out from the finals. Especially if he just played well.

Moltzen just showed that he can be a dangerous fullback. Why would you move Moltzen back to halfback after he just played well at fullback and Lui played well at halfback? Especially against the Roosters, when both of them have a real chance to grow some form against a side whose season is over.
