hey everyone,
devastated that moltzen may be out for the season although what i like about the tigers is that we arent a one man team the talent is our backline is electrifying..
ive just been thinking about who will replace him, which will be a hard thing to do
moltz is an incredibly talented halfback/ backline player
i think its time we use arana and give him a run with benji against the bulldogs on friday night

your thoughts?

thanks,

My personal preference would be Arana as I think that he is a very skillful player and would love to see what he can produce in first grade along side Benji. However we have to deal with the reality that Tim Sheens is our coach and that we are most likely to see Daniel Fitzhenry at fullback next week… :unamused: :unamused:

If he isn't suspended it will be Blake Lazarus. Taumata didn't play today and other than that the Tigers look to be out of depth in the halves unless Benji goes to 7 and Fulton or Flanagan to 6 which I think is unlikely.

… i pray moltz will only be gone no more then 5 weeks...
I believe Lazarus should get a go... Then Lui when he returns...

not a chance its ACL its a 6 month injury and a injury that takes 2 years to actually get over

Im reading that Thurston is gone for the year too

It didnt look serious- He should be fine

Has to be Lazarus at this stage assuming he isnt suspended , but no other options really as Taumata hasnt played for a couple of weeks, Waters isnt up to first grade standard. If Lazarus isnt available then I say Farah to Halfback and Fitzy into Hooker or perhaps Fulton into official halfback role

What did Lazarus do that might lead to him being suspended?
That would be a disaster as AJ is supposedly also still injured.

Is it time to unleash Lazarus?

I believe played an integral role for the success of BRET in 2007 and after 2 season-ending injuries is it time he makes his first grade debut?

Suspended? I hope not. This guy just cant take a hit…

Im for Lazo also. I truely believe he is the long term future 7 for us, but he shouldnt be rushed. If we go with Blake and he fits into the structure well over the next few weeks, we should give him 6 games to really find his feet. I dont think Arana and Marshall will ever play side by side. Too Complicated...

Tuamata as a replacement for Benji, or off the bench as an impact is fine, but both these boys for 80 minutes will be too complicated.

While these injuries are terrible, having another 21 weeks to find a suitable replacement is a benifit.

If we had a bigger forward pack, Benji would be a walk up start to Halfback...

Awful to lose 2 halfbacks in the first 5 rounds, we can't take a trick….

I can see Robbie being shifted to halfback and Fitzy to hooker. Would probably prefer Lazarus to be given a go though.

He's up on a tripping charge. If he is suspended I wonder if Darren Nicholls becomes an option?

Well, a couple of players have been charged with tripping in first grade and gotten away with it this season, including Ellis.. and Lazzo is a cleanskin I think, so fingers crossed.
