Much better than a 2nd ad riddled second Friday game, now just shaft Monday Night Footy for Sunday night and you have a better schedule all round (1xThurs, 1xFri, 3xSat, 2xSun arvo 1xSun night)

My understanding is it would be 7:30-9:30 Live NRL, 9:30-11:15 Footy Show. Although a game right before hand gives them some football to talk about, rather than just gibber on about nothing.

It does mean that we would have less Ray Hadley called games, which is a bonus.

ye probably.. to all those complaining about TFS.. why complain about something you dont watch, and if you watch it, why watch it if you hate it? personally, i take any footy/footy shows that is on FTA. ye i wish it was more "footy related", but some do find it funny who dont watch it all 26 weeks.

Agreed, I have no idea why the people who complain about it watch it consistently. If you stop and think about it for 5 seconds you realise how idiotic you sound.

As for the show itself, if you take it for what it is (light humor with a footy theme) it can be enjoyable. If you expect world class comedy or in depth football analysis you are going to be disappointed.

Probably pinched the idea from the NFL after seeing how successful it's been over there, I really enjoyed having the season start on a Thursday night this year. But yeah i agree Ink, great for watching it at home with having to go to work the next day & it will be similar in the way how crowds are affected when they are played on a Monday night.

Gonna be even more teams with unfair turnarounds, now that the games will be played over five days. Ridiculous. Although it's only for the first four weeks, so that's not so bad.
