The footy cubs keep roaring for Tigers greats. Former Balmain teammates Wayne Pearce and Garry Jack fathered league and AFL stars, now Benny Elias is the latest to pass on his footballing gifts

Elias's 15-year-old nephew Mitchell Moses plays halfback for his alma mater Holy Cross Ryde and has been snapped up by Parramatta's Harold Matthews squad.

Only problem is he has gone to the Eels. Wonder if it will end up being a similar situation to Mitchell Pearce where he'll never play for the Tigers because of the expectations based on who his father is?

 Geez Willow…..I hope Benny's not his father.........Make Chistmas interesting.....

Exactly what has Benny produced here??

His brother produced a son who is playing Harold Mathews….big whoop, leave him alone Massoud you clown.

Well hopefully we can do a Broncos… if he is any good and has family loyalty remains to the Tigers, we can sign him back once Parra have invested in him.

/ed Presuming of course he doesn't have any issues following in the footsteps of a legend, a la Mitch Pearce.

At the moment this kid looks like he will be a star he is an absolute gun on the field but i will emphasise "at the moment" because a lot happens between Harold Matts n first grade

Im thinking if hes any good Benny would have ensured he was at the Tigers.

LOL….and then people would say he only got where he did due to his Uncle ben...and rightly so.

Hes played heaps junior reps, repped for touch and excelled at school league, this is just
another natural progression...all based on his ability and not who his uncle is.
