Wests Tigers wish to make a statement on behalf of Club Captain Robbie Farah in response to media reports regarding his relationship with Head Coach Tim Sheens.

Reports suggested that Farah became irritated when overlooked for Test selection during the recent Four Nations tournament.

“Regrettably the reports create a totally false impression of things. I had prepared all week to play in the Test match against England and was very excited by the prospect of playing in a big Test match at Wembley Stadium. When plans changed late in the week and Tim told me that I would not be taking my place in the side, I was understandably disappointed as any player would be.’’ Farah said.

“That said, I totally accepted Tim’s decision. To now suggest that I would be seeking to leave the Club that I love is just ridiculous and unfounded.

“Tim has been my coach since I came into first grade in 2003 and whilst we agree to disagree on things from time to time, our working relationship has never been adversely affected.

“I am totally committed to my team-mates who I am extremely tight with. I can assure all Wests Tigers fans that we will all be working hard to ensure a successful season in 2012 and beyond.”

Story did it's job, generated plenty of hits and prolly sold a few newspapers.

_**I can't imagine anyone being that upset to be included on a tour and not play**_ - being included on the tour would be awesome to pretty much everyone (i'm guessing the ARL paid for the flights and accommodation?), and Farah got to see a few EPL games and some tourist sights.

He's got an ego but i can't see it being that ridiculous

If you have a clause in your contract which stipulates 'x' Representative games to trigger an upgrade, you might be upset if its your club coach who has chosen to overlook you?!

Well you might be until you realise he's the only person who ever picks you for rep sides.

imo Farah needs a reality check. As mentioned above if Sheens wasn't coach he wouldn't even be on tour.

And I'll add I watched that game closely and Cooper Cronk (who was chosen over Farah) was the right selection. Cronk is simply a better player for that bench role and probably a better player on the whole.

All that said, I didn't believe for a second that Farah would ever walk out on the Tigers.

Dont stress guys…. Farah or sheens won't be going anywhere. I'll tell u why it's an "exclusive" for the DT.... it's because it's made up. It's easy to have exclusives when it's fiction. I don't even know how they could call it an exclusive when there isn't one direct quote from a tigers player/management.

But anyway the story is false.

It damn well better be false. The DT is toilet paper but reading this sort of stuff is not pleasant and I'm praying it is false because with the playing roster the Tigers have assembled for next year, they really should go close to winning the comp.

When have I ever led this forum wrong mr willow?

Ha ha officials remain confident both will be at the club next season!!! Is that their pathetic excuse for a retraction?
