you go to any workplace in australia and ask the question do you want to earn $400,ooo working 8 months with four onths off or $400,000 working ten months with two months off.of course the players will say burnout e.t.c.to them i say boohoo wanna swap jobs.

Correct, but you would need a bigger squad say 30, to cover injuries.

lol…stephen humpreys ....so you want to fit a 32 round NRL season into a year with State of Origin,international games, city country???? Are you crazy? There are a uple of franchises that want to join the NRL and if we dont expand, there is a chance these areas would be lost to League and snapped up by AFL...If the NRL does expand, then you need to fit an extra 2 weeks into the comp....Can you imagine a League player being motivated to play 32 rounds and then play semi final football?

Humpreys, the people that know you well, know that you were lucky to get this CEO role so stay out of the limelight and you may hang onto your job a little longer....

Where do the players come from for these new franchises is what I'd like to know.

No point have a broader comp geographically if you dilute the playing talent
