Tigers eye Milford as Warriors prepare $3.5m offer to teen

Just out of curiosity, what about the fullbacks we have from within like Dillon for example?

Apparently Broncos just signed Kahu for 400k.
Can't afford Croft and Melb won't budge with paying some of the freight.

Broncos halves for 2020 should be Milford and Deardon.
You'd expect fullback to be Isaako or new recruits Jesse Arthers.

Media beat up.

Kahu is hot garbage and his only upside is he can kick, but Donkeys already have Isaako for that and the latter is a superior footballer in all respects.

@Milky i think broncs would much rather some experience in there halves, after watching Reynolds sit on the sidelines for the last 2 years tigers really need to move him on.Mbye while being overpaid, i still think is yet to play his best footy and, im unsure if thats in the fb or centre position.

To much money for Milford unless we make a sound deal with the bronc's putting in a good portion, Milford is so up and down like Brooks can be at times so we don't need another player like that. Also cannot see the talk about Musgrove, didn't see anything in him when he played for south UNLESS Madge can see a superstar in the making that i don't see

Why do the Tigers think we have the facilities or the culture ro turn Duds into Gems.

Madge is perhaps the best coach we have had ever, but Milf and Not appear to have checked out.

No more overpriced discards

Dear God no. He'll chuck half his salary on pokies anyway. I'd prefer to wait for better options.

Make sure he does it Wests ashfield.

I'm going to put it out there but this alleged 1.7 million could be the biggest decision this club makes in the next 10 years

My opinion for what it is worth is we get the forward pack right now .....and then in 2021 we then look at getting the right 6 and 9 for the future

@happy_tiger The money spent over the next two seasons will make or break the Tigers in the foreseeable future. $1.7m available now - could grow to $2.1m if McQueen takes the ESL offer. Then another couple of million at least to spend in 2021 (for the '22 season).

@happy_tiger Agree HT. We need to have a dominant/competitive pack if we are any chance in the future. Something WTs have always lacked in my opinion.

Milford is a very good player however, he has been badly used at the Broncos. They packed weight on him to play 5/8 with Nikorima and played two running halves with no kicking game.
Broncos just paid 400k for Kahu which is bad but shows they will likely move Isaako to fullback as Oates is in the other wing.

He’s a definite improvement at fullback for us and also Corey is a huge upgrade for whoever we played at wing last year. Will allow our depth at centre to be Momo, Talau and possible signings to come.

Really comes down to cost as he is a big risk. 2 years at 500k p.a. I do this deal without blinking.

Me too, I’d probably go higher than that to be honest.

Im happy to not spend money this year and develop our young players. We have always been too rushed i n our recruitment.

Other clubs are all.over the place with their cap. Sharks, broncos especially. We will have chances to recruit. On our terms.

They didn't just spend 400K on Kahu by choice, he has gone back there for the last year of a 3 year deal he signed back in 2018. Kahu managed to negotiate his release so that the Broncos would still have to honour his contract if he chose to go back there for 2020. I don't think they'll be going out of their way to fit him into the 17...

After having seen what Madge was able to do with Benji this year, it'd be fairly exciting what he could do with Milford who is still only 25. He genuinely has the potential to be anything if he can cut the weight and start enjoying his footy again

I had no idea. That’s too bad for them.
