Don't know what to make of this. On one hand I would love to have him, the price doesn't scare me as the elite players are all hitting that mark very soon. With Nofo, Koro and Simona it assembles a very strong backline. On the other hand, with no halfback or 5/8, what can he really offer.

We need a guy who can take bombs.
We need a guy who can penetrate from the back.
We NEED a gun centre (Lawrence replacement) and we NEED a gun fullback. He can play either (or both at the same time - he is so friggin good).
SBW turned out to be an amazing purchase for the Roosters. Inglis for the Bunnies. If a player of this calibre is available on the open market then we simply have to go for him. He is a mega star. We would forever rue the day that we didn't even make a play for him.

IMO we should virtually hand him a blank cheque. The marketability is worth it alone. Forget paying overs or unders or whatever. This guy is top tier and can easily demand top wages - because he is worth it. Some team WILL pay it and as soon as he signs for a rival we will regret it. If you don't agree with me then I have to respectfully say that you probably have not seen him play recently, or us play recently for that matter.

For that price I don't think it's worth it in a playing sense but with Benji gone the club might be looking for another massive name to help marketing ect
Then there is the predicament what to I with Teddy although Folau would be a far better fullback decent back up I guess,but if the club is looking fir spine 1,6,7,9 you have at least one half of a good spine.
