Since the merge (2000) this is the amount of amount of NSW origins games players from each club has had:

Newcastle- 102
Dragons- 98
Roosters- 69
Parra- 61
Manly- 53
Melbourne- 45
Dogs- 45
Penrith- 35
Sharks- 33
Raiders- 15
Brisbane- 12
GC- 11
NQ- 7
Tigers- 6 (Hodgo-3 Farah-2 Hill-1)
Rabbits- 2
NZ- 0

Every sydnet team has over 30 games, except tigers and rabbits. Rabbits makes sence because they have been terrible for ages but we have performed as well as some sydney clubs on this list. Yet our players just cant make it. And believe me this aint changing soon. What do we have to do to get representitive players? (Winning GF doesnt work). It seesm to me NSW selectors just wont pick tigers.

Really how many tigers really deserved the games???

Apart from Lawrence there is no one that deserves to be anywhere near that magnificent Sky Blue Jersey.

I thought Pat Richards was the best winger in the comp in 2005\. Was he already aligned to Ireland then? If not he should have been reping all over the place that year.

I really believe if some of our players where part of parra, dragons, roosters, manly etc we would have seen a lot more of them play in the Sky Blue. From our current crop, Hino, Lawrence, Farah, Ayshford, Galloway and future stars Dwyer, Woods, etc i reckon would be a massive chance if they played for other teams. But the selectors just keep on hate'n on the Tigers for some reason. I mean really, how can a team have 100+ games and we only have 6?? Have we really been that far apart on the ladder?? We've only had 2 finals appearances since the merge but that was for a win and a third, apart from that we usually finish around (just below) the middle of the comp ladder, can we really be that competitve with 100 games less worth of rep players???

Yeah, Galloway doesn't have anything on King :stuck_out_tongue:

Forget Origin, it's their loss. Id be happy if NSW lost the next 10 Origins in a row if it meant a premiership for us.

Newcastle with that many is hilarious - surely that must be mainly 2000-2005 Newcastle.

Newcastle from 2006

2006- 6
2007- 9
2008- 8
2009- 5 (Rememebr when Mcmanus got a run)
2010- 3
2011- 3 (So far, will be 5)

Prediction
2012- 51 (Bennet as coach, just watch what happens. Beau Ryan would make NSW on the knights wing)

Nope, they get a couple of players every year because it helps the ratings.

They are the only region in NSW that is comparable to Queensland in passion for SOO.

Newcastles high rating has a lot to do with Johns, Bedsy and co being at the top of their games during this period.

We've done well to get 6 considering how hopeless our first decade was.

Johns, Buderus, Gidley, Kennedy, Simpson-Those 5 probably give you 60-70 games between them. Throw in Matt Gidley, Tahu (when he was actually good), Mad Dog and you'll see why they have so many.

Souths has to be higher than that Taylor played how many games last years series and this year he and Inglis both played game 2 . Imagine Bryan Fletcher would of played at some stage while he was their also

I can't say we have had players ready to step up.

Farah deserved a shot but has been off form and not really deserving the last couple of years,

Lawernce would have been a big chance this year but has been injuried

Galloway this year and last has had injuries around origin time.

In 2005 we were terrible until our late run late in the season so Richards so no chance

Figures are only considering NSW (who care who plays for QLD). souths 2 were both craig wing on the bench. Fletch never played origin after going to souths
