I think its a good signing if true, maybe we will announce a double swoop Leilua & Mitchell. But Mitchell if it does happen warrants a PC and all the trimmings so possibly Luciano first.

Wests Tigers are ready to pounce on talented St George Illawarra back-rower Luciano Leilua.

As the club continues its chase for unsettled Sydney Roosters centre Latrell Mitchell, The Daily Telegraph understands that Leilua is also on the verge of committing to a three-year deal worth an estimated $1.2 million.

Leilua, 23, is fast emerging as one of the most skilful backrowers in the game but is yet to really cement his starting spot at the Dragons.

This year he played 22 games in total but 17 were off the bench.

All up he has played 43 NRL games and 33 off as an interchange player.

It is believed the deal will be finalised in the next two weeks so Leilua can make a clean switch when he returns to pre-season training in early December.

The Dragons have had a disrupted off-season in the wake of the Phil Gould-led review and last week’s revelation that chief executive Brian Johnston would be departing the club in 2020.

I’m a little worried. We release Matterson a proven 80min backrower workhorse whom we were paying $400,000 this year and sign Lielua for the same coin. Although I am of the opinion that we didn’t really need another Matterson as we already have Twal and Eiso playing that role so to secure a creative and line breaking second rower who appears to show good form when giving more game time is a pretty good trade off. Gone from an established and consistent player to a player breaking out and with bucket loads of potential. Could be good, if anything offers a point of difference to attack. Sticking point for me is we don’t save any pennies in the transaction.

Matts was for mine an anomaly.. Unforunatley his relationship with our club didnt end the way I had hoped...

LL can carve up and is a real coup...

LL and LM if the both actually arrive here will make our club better and 2021 continues to provide us with reason to hope.

Wrong gibber-er..the Mole

Distructive at his best, but that's a rare occasion.
In saying that, I like his type, big strong and skillful with his feet and hands, no doubt he's dynamic.
Wouldn't be the worst signing

Leaked to the Mole?

Those wanting Joey watch the Grand final again where his inability to get back inside after making the tackle and having his back turned to the attack cost the try

@pawsandclaws1 we don’t want Joey he made 2 huge mistakes in the grand final that cost the green machine The game not passing to rapana and not getting back on side he spent half the year injured we want young players with there best footy in front of them like his brother haha

@finnzo
exactly, plus Joey is an arrogant smart ass, I'd be surprised if Madge was interested
