given the side it is of note that Reddy, Chisolm and Miller are playing it is interesting that Humble and Tedessco are not
does that mean they are in front of the others in the race for first grade?

Interesting to see Linc Port named at fullback. I had totally forgotten about him. With this lineup does it suggest he is ahead of Grant, Meaney and Reddy for the fullback spot?

I suppose Sheens knows what meaney offers at 1, but I would have thought if theres any chance of Reddy or even Grant playing fullback that they'd be the number 1.

Anyone know any more about Linc Port, apart from being 20 y.o. and starring in the cairns comp. I haven't heard him mentioned all pre season.

Intersting point King Sirro….
Does anyone know where the rest of the Wests boys ended up from last year?
I saw Andrew Everingham training with Souths.... I thought he'd a been great with some time with 1sts under
his belt.
Bit small for a centre though (I reckon...)

Interesting side although I particularly like the look of the backline. Saw Linc Port at Concord last week, there's not much of him although having said that, he could prove very elusive at the back. Big question will be how well he defends. Interesting to see Schirnack at lock for this one. Back row looks nice and mobile and the bench also looks pretty handy. Not sold on Jack Spencer in the front row, he'd be lucky to weigh 95kg after seeing him last week.

Actually it does not mean that at all. It simply means Brown is not listed to play in this trial. How you came to that conclusion is mind boggling.

If I was to harbour a guess…
I would assume the 3 affore mentioned players would be
in the running for said Jersey.
Which has pretty much been speculated from the end of last year....

I think who ISNT in this team has me interested…... No Tedesco,Humble,Brown,Utai.

Hmmmmmm,what does it all mean?????

Well… Assuming it's a Balmain game....
The only surprise for me is Reddy, But then again
he doesn't have any time under his belt from the last 12 months
So the more Game Time for him the better....

I'd take any selections at this stage with a grain of salt. There are too many variables - minor injuries that prevent selection, players needing a hitout for fitness, coach wanting to look at players in different positions, new players getting games to adapt to new playing styles, etc, etc

The selection on one player ahead or instead of another doesn't really mean anything in terms of the NRL team. Some of the players listed here will no doubt feature in NRL trials as well if it is deemed necessary. This first trial is normally always a mix of young players and fringe players.

I think that means those players are certain for at least a bench spot in next weeks trial. I presume Reddy needs some time in his legs after a long injury lay off.

I think it is safe to assume that the performance in this weeks game, along with next weeks opener will determine who else gets on the extended bench
