Tigers to make call on Mason this week

To many perfect people making comments on people's past. I'm not perfect and I might make the wrong call. For the right price, sign him tommorrow. Get SBW while your at it.

Take him if it's a reasonable deal.
He's not the devil everyone thinks IMO.

I think it is highly doubtful he will play this week Maybe if he had signed yesterday or today there might of been a slim chance of him playing but i wouldn't hold my breath

I personally think he would be a great buy, especially if he is on a second tier contract. He is an experienced and intimidating forward which is what we need while Galloway is out. He would and mongrel to our side which is always good. I reckon he will behave himself because he knows that this is his last chance in the NRL.

Buying Willy Mason is a bad move by the West Tigers. Whatever happened to the NO D%#khead policy?

I do not want the team to return to the bad old days of the early 2000's. i.e. Hoppa, Craig Field, Kevin McGuinness ect… Especially after we finally got rid of Robert Lui.

Lui is a completely different case to Mason all together. Sure Mason has said and done some stupid things, but what Lui has been accused off is a low as one can go.

Please don't do it Tigers…........Tommy was 100% correct in his comments

I'm excited with the prospect of Willy signing up with the Tigers.

We need experience, size and mongrel , and that's exactly what Willie will provide.

Wow…..how many peeps have joined up to give Mason a spray??

Its amazing.

I wonder if come round 26 and Willie has been an angel off the park and in devestating form on it, those inactive dusty accounts will get blown off and logged back in to say - "Well, I was wrong. Humble pie for me."

a la end 2011 - re Matt Utai signing.

I don't doubt he has the ability to play anymore (not at his 2006 ability or level) But what happens if he does something bad and we lose sponsors over it Then it is a horrible buy as it will cost us money

Shrek runs over Gibbs , Mason starts his spray. Fans fighting in the stands , I have never liked the bulldogs or any of their players and this guy is a serial pest , I say NO. We can start giving our juniors some experience for next season , one game at a time. I am with Tommy on this one.

You obviously didn't live anywhere near Lidcombe when Tommy was playing!
Calling Mason nothing but trouble when you consider the stuff he and others in his team got up to on the grog is really stretching it.
Everyone would duck for cover whenever those guys walked into a pub or club

You know what…I want to win...now!!!!!! We need Mason. He needs a chance to prove himself. We are a bit soft upfront and young...Mason can help fix that!!!! Yes he is a pest...but so too are others....I'd give him a chance...sign him up the right way....if he is a pest then move him on...but on the other hand it could be a top buy...don't know yet...nothing ventured nothing gained...A Well Worded & Executed Contract can rectify any concerns supporters may have. But does he have it in to prove everyone wrong....I think he has....can't stand losing...making excuses etc.....we are weak as seen over the weekend....today players need to play for their jerseys.....this acquisition will facilitate this!!!!

You, like most people, tend to repeat the stories heard third hand in and around the pubs in Lidcombe.
If you had been there, and knew the players you would realize there was a level of self respect within the club and the player group.
There was a time to have fun and a time to play footy. This was an era when most if not all of the players had full time jobs.
Yes they enjoyed themselves around the local area. Now its seems local support and commitment depends on where your next contract is coming from. Oh, and the obligation to be constantly seen in the Eastern Suburbs. If you can name one player from that era that was considered a thug off the field you simply did not know them.
Well done for having common sense Tigers.
We don't need a serial pest who still refuses to admit he is in the wrong.
Of all the clubs in the NRL, when you watch a tigers game you know it will be clean, quick and entertaining. You know you won't get constant bending of the rules or a constant questioning of the referees decisions.
It why we are criticized as often as we are. We may not win all the games. We may not be the best, but when we play on the edge of our ability we are unbearable.
Move on Willie. Good luck.
