29/04/2010 2:05:01 PM
Schools across the Campbelltown region will be hoping Wests Tigers go on a tryscoring spree at its four matches at Campbelltown Sports Stadium this season.
To mark the return of the Wests Tigers to the redeveloped Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 2, Wests Leagues Club
Campbelltown will donate $1000 to a school in the Campbelltown area for each Wests Tigers try at Campbelltown Stadium. The money will go towards the purchase of sporting equipment.
All local primary and high schools will be eligible. For example if Wests Tigers, score 20 tries in their 4 allocated home games in Campbelltown, then 20 different schools will receive $1000 EACH.
“We hope Wests Tigers score 10 tries in each of their 4 Campbelltown home games. Wests Campbelltown has a strong relationship with local schools and this allows us to help schools and show our support for Wests Tigers,’’ said Wests CEO Tony Mathew.
Wests Tigers winger Lote Tuqiri has scored six tries in seven games and will be looking to add to the tally on Sunday against the Sydney Roosters from 2pm.
“We hope to cost the Leagues Club plenty,’’ Tuqiri said.
All schools will be randomly selected and a school can only be selected once.
