That's just really harsh on Farah tbh. He's watched players run behind other players at least 200 times in the past two seasons and not once get penalised and now it happens to him. A joke really.

So does that mean now that no player will be allowed to do this for the rest of the season without being penalised, the referees have drawn a line in the sand? No I dont think so more inconsistent rubbish each week.

i have been out teaching kids to rollerblade but it seems the whells fell of at Liechardt.

objective assesmentplease.

Really don't know what happened. We were up 22-0, just rolling right through them, then we just lost the plot. Panicked with a lead? Passes weren't sticking, mistakes were creeping in. Some bad bench rotation didn't help, Robbie and Sauce had some minor injuries. Just lost all momentum at the end of the 1st half and the 2nd half was fairly forgetable, just nothing in attack, no patience and the defence was, at times, all over the place.

Honestly, worst game we've played so far this year, bar the first 23 minutes.

Please Jason Taylor, the Board and CEO that are keeping this protected species Lawrence in first grade. Give someone else who deserves it and can do a much better than Lawrence a chance in first grade. The Swans, a truly professionally run AFL team, took the brave step of dropping Adam Goodes. Why does Lawrence have to be picked in first grade ad infinitum until the end of the 2016 season when he is slower than all our forwards except Buchanan and Galloway and has trouble catching a football. He is a liability.

The hype surrounding Brookes and Moses is just that and shows just how amateur this club is picking them every week when they are in 2015 way too young, immature and very small for the rigours of first grade football. Something has to be done to replace Lawrence and least one of either Brooks or Moses but this club is way too stubborn and lack courage to take that step. Suffice to say no one from our reserve strength will get a call up for Friday. My best wishes to Koroibete and Austin. No wonder they left the club when they found out how biased WT's selection policy.

I agree with you on some points Newtown. Lawrence's defence today was actually okay (he certainly wasn't the worst - see Brooks, Moses etc) but under the high ball he is and always has been atrocious. In the Croker try in the 35th minute he gets owned. He jumps a few inches and doesnt even look like getting anywhere near it. I agree, he has to be dropped to reggies. The WT board has to make a stand, everyone can see he is way out of his depth.

I agree Moses needs to go back to reggies but Brooks is a gun. His defence, sure, is awful but remember how young he is.

The team needs a good kick up the a*** after todays effort. Really ordinary. On a positive note though I thought Halatau, Richards and Teddy battled well. Ive been a critic of Halatau in the past but he defended really well today, was alot better than Robbie.

The only positive after every loss is getting a laugh at the moronic vitriol spewed by alot of you clowns after wards.

Thanks, needed a good laugh after watching that.

Keep tuned and laughing. You will get a lot more laughs every week this year as we stick with;

1\. Lawrence because we he won't be dropped no matter how many young ones in the club are much more deserving of a first grade spot.
2\. Stick with the fabled fairytale halve pairing of Brooks and Moses again when there are more deserving players for their spots.

Leichhardt oval myth is again exposed as just that. And the bench is an issue.

Just up dopey,

1\. Coachs dopey technigues lost us that
2 Coaches dopey bench rotation
3\. No centres or halves
4\. The team look like zombies the coach has zapped the blood out of them with boring repetative motions.
5\. Only great and bright thing was the Leichhardt crowd…....

Dopey? That's a bit harsh isn't it? If I was dopey I would be sitting in the traffic trying to get out of LO. Instead I'm heading down to my local TAB to withdraw after having a sizeable wager on Canberra at 22-0.

Once again no leadership when the game is on the line.

Leadership??? You've got to be kidding , there's got to be a team of footballers first to be led.. This was an embarrassing rabble , let's teach them to tackle before we worry about who leads them
Seriously , is there one supporter here , who couldn't have written the script for the second half at around the 30th minute of the first half , it was the usual stuff we usually get against a team that runs hard. Pathetic!!!!!!!
Our halves must have learned a lot in this game, but does anyone know what!!unless it was how to tackle, it was a complete waste of time.
They weren't the only ones, there were quite a few below first grade standard out there today.
I've tried to resist the urge to say drop them, but they need to learn that arm grabbing is not the
Only way to defend , and they sure as hell aren't learning it now.

I'm saying that they need some time in reserve grade because they are not first grade material

What I did not like about today's game was the ease in which the Raiders turned things around. I felt early on everything went our way, and it was a false sense of where the opposition were at. Having said that when it came time to tough it out we were found wanting. Our coach talking about defense winning it, whilst his opposition coach talking about out scoring them and team spirit and effort. Hope we can do better against the dogs with the short turn around.

Can someone tell me why Brook's try was not an 8 point try. The tackle on Simona was dangerous and put on report. So why no penalty. It was still in the act of scoring, or does the infringement have to be on the scoring player?

Yes on the scoring player.

Agree about Lawrence but who are the players more deserving than Brooks and Moses? Those guys are young and learning and need more time to develop.

Pretty fair assessment.

31 missed tackles vs 16 :frowning: This may explain turn around, and WT again cannot get penalty even when the opposition uses fists - that deserved send off, but video id***s can only see non-existent obstruction :frowning:
Woods was again outstanding 205 m from 21 runs, 37 tackles missed 4.
Taupau 160 m from 16, 22 T missed 1, was very good, as well as Tedesco 180m from 18, 5 tackles missed 3.
Sironen was not as good as in the earlier rounds, only 57 m from 7 runs, 3 tackles ?

Our experienced players made some crucial mistakes: Woods, Lawrence and Farah.

Again Lawrence was solid in defence (except that '**jump**') but we play last 3 years without one center in attack :frowning:

Knew we would loose it today after the Raiders first try. A loose ball and we all just stood there and waited for them to have another crack at it. That there showed how much effort we were willing to put in today. The 1% er's count. And that counted big time today. Make an effort for that ball, and a whole different ballgame. ( let's not go into they were in that field position off a massive forward pass)

Pretty much the same thing that happens when we play against a big pack , who run like forwards ( hard) and don't lie down like we do when it gets tough,

Well whoevers teaching them is not doing a very good job, maybe standing in the reserve grade corner would teach them that sometimes you have to get your hands dirty in first grade, if you are to live up to,your hype.

If these guys need time to learn and develop we better get used the first grade side losing every week. Drinkwater and Heleta would make a very capable halves combination. They have speed and at this stage have much physiques for the grind of week in week out first grade football.

I just got back from the game, and the ride home has given me some time to calm down, because I was really angry with today's performance. A few observations from me:

1\. After halftime, at about the 45 min mark, moses put up a bomb on the last tackle when we were about 30m out from the raiders line. As you would all know, we were running into a very stiff breeze in the second half. SO WHY DID WE PUT UP A BOMB! Where is the strategy from 1) Moses, and 2) JT, who should have addressed this at half time! The attacking kicks in the second half should have either been grubbers, or low cross field kicks like the one austin put up for croker's try. The result from moses' kick was a cheap turnover - the raiders then marched up the field, forced a repeat set, and scored after that.

2\. JT's bench rotation was poor. He took off Tapau and Woods together! I'm not sure if he always does this, but these two forwards give us the best go forward, so we need one of them on the park at all times. And why did we start the second half with farah on the bench? He's an 80 minute hooker, and if JT is set on giving him a break, it should be in the middle of one of the halves, when he's exhausted off his feet. Not when he's just recovered from the half time break!

3\. Our line speed was poor today. We were not getting off the line like we should have been
