Tigers v Bulldogs, round three, 2005
Following on from their rivalry with Wests & Balmain, the Bulldogs quickly realised that their matches with the merged entity would be just as intense. After losing the initial four contests, the Tigers had taken the prize three times from the next five games. The scene was set for a highly entertaining clash on a fine Sunday afternoon. The Tigers' potent halves combination of Benji Marshall & Scott Prince taking on Sonny Bill Williams and the defending premiers.

Some things never change!

Kicking a crap penalty touch finder.
Getting dudded by the video ref.

But gee why aren't all games very open like that? I just wonder how that match was so much more open then any others. Was it because the Dogs had a big forward pack, the Tigers passing game was so good, both sides defence being so bad, or the interpretation of the ruck?

Either way it was a great game and I wish every game was as open as that one.

LOL….the game where a cretin Dogs fans flag went over the fence onto the field.

This jerkoff from punchbowl was a couple of rows in front of us at the norhtern end...acting a royal clown all game untill we get out to an 18 point lead when he decides to skulk off with his flag between his legs.....anyway as we all know the doggs come back via anasta to make it 38-38 or whatever it was, this clown makes a reapppearance, decides to wave his flag in my face at the dogs last try, so a grabbed it off him and chucked it ove the fence...the look on his face was priceless, even better when Prince potted the one pointer.

One of those games that stick in the memory bank

Amazing how much the game has changed even in that short time

The referees didn't annoy me as much in that game as they have this year. That's even despite the glaring mistakes. I didn't get the feeling their mistakes were intentional, like they seem to me to be this year.

watched the game and i have to say some of our young players back then who still play for us or left us in the last 12 months havent really evolved as footballers, maybe thats a reason why we are in this rut aswell, fulton gibbs payten fitzy all look the same back then as they do now in fitzys case worse farah benji and heigno have evolved but the others look the same now as they did back then

Next weeks game is a golden point match where we were dudded by the Souths time keeper not blowing the siren for half time in golden point, we would have gotten the ball back that some stage when Souths wouldn't have possession to kick the winning field goal.
Hope I don't spoil this for anyone!.

Geez this week a pack containing Graham and Patterson. Fitzy at 5/8\. I can't even laugh.

This game hurt alot at the time. being screwed by a timekeeper appointed by the Bunnies. Good times

marshall at centre's went ok, actually took on the line.
Fitzy actually did something in that game (i saw a linebreak!)
