just a reminder its on tonight at 6pm on fox,i know its a painful match so its only recommended watching the first half

Gives me nightmares, went to that game at penwiff park back in 2000 we were going good that year up until then, after that we didnt make the eight and failed to win another game all year, lost next 8 or 9 straight, if i remember correctly. Tony Puleta pulled us apart if i remember correctly as well. We had a good side that year in the fist year of the joint venture as well. Wayne Pearce was the coach as well.

Rather be attacked by a pack of rabid grizzly bears thanks .

Things were going fine until John Hopoate pissed off Matt Adamson with his impersonation of a WWE wrestler in his try celebration, Hoppa was bouncing off the goal post pads when Adamson had enough and barrelled him right under the posts, probably should have seen Adamson sin binned but it fired up the Panthers to come from a long way behind to win and yes that's when the wheels fell off!.

I remember watching this game. Tony Pulletua killed us that day, he had my respect from that day on.

When you see how we played in the 10 minutes after half time you wonder why we were so bad in attack back then, but then in those final 10 minutes in particular, you could see why, our forwards were terrible back then.

Did anyone find it funny how Sterlo in the first half described us as a tough, grinding type of side or something along those lines…. Compare that to now  Also what about everytime they went down to Vossy we would score.

The game went exactly how I remembered it although I thought they scored their last try later in the game, I thought they only scored with about 5 minutes left, not 10 minutes.

Also Ray Warren's comments about Origin 3, saying even though the series is wrapped QLD will turn up to play as always.... And yet we won by 40

I remember that day vividly… not only for this game (which I missed out watching/listening to on the radio) but also for my local Griffith Swans U14 AFL debut.

We travelled to Temora (90 mins away). It was pouring rain. Had to stop the bus so one of our boys could vomit. Bus got bogged. Got to Temora. Still belting down rain. Played the game. Lost 144-0\. Got on the bus. Heard Tigers lost after leading by 23 points.

Not a good day.

After looking at that bench I don't think ill ever whinge about one of sheens ones again lol

But yes truly heart breaking loss, we never recovered from it…

Was my first ever Wests Tigers game I was able to attend! Had a great time paying out the Panthers supporters until the last 20 minutes.

Was this game the start of our unpredictable nature? Awesome in parts but ohh too many crap periods!

I agree too many post celebrations during the game and Hopoates celebration when dancing around the in goals seemed to really nark Matthew Adamson as well. They never got over that loss at all, and where never the same team that year after that.
