The Tigers are set to complete their recruitment drive over the next two days with star youngsters Curtis Sironen and James Tedesco on the verge of accepting long term deals to stay at the club. In a massive boost to the Tigers, both youngsters are poised to commit their futures to the joint venture despite offers from elsewhere. Boom fullback Tedesco has been inundated with offers since his barnstorming start to the year, forcing the Tigers to shell out big dollars to keep him. I am hearing the club has had to up the ante to over $500,000 but considers it money well spent, with Tedesco one of the game's brightest young stars. Sironen, son of Tigers legend Paul, is also keen to stay at Concord and is close to announcing a four-year deal. Ironically, both players are currently on the injured list but the Tigers - the game's early season surprise packets - are still winning without them.
