Maybe I just have a better memory.

We havent forgotten about the past, we are just thinking of the future.. Like the saying goes your only as good as your last "…." and if you keep thinking of your last one you'll never get the next..

Its not about ignoring the present. But BS'ing yourself into forgetting how we were prior to 2003 doesn't help anyone.

No matter how Sheens leaves our club, he can hold his head high and say its in a better shape than when he arrived. Lying to yourself doesn't help anyone.

Don't care how he leaves.. As long as he leaves..

Which isn't the question or issue. I'm not campaigning for his re-signing here.

But anyone who chooses to ignore the truth and believe we were a stronger and better club in 2002 over what we are now, is living in fantasy land.

All crap aside we are way better off now then when he got here, In saying that if we are forced to have him see out his contract then im not sure i will agree…

The most dissapointing part is that after 2005 we really should have kicked on and capitalised on our success more but i think we rested on our laurels and it has finally come back to bite us..

I just hope that whoever comes in to replace Sheens(if it does happen) does have a cleanout in staff as i dont think there would be any merit keeping all the current staff on board...

Hah….hold his head high

If he left a few years ago - maybe

Hes not needed and unwanted, he refuses to see it....thats a man in denial, not a proud man, a man that lies to himself

Hes going nowhere, this article is another tease

Although the club has been left better after his reign…. How old was the club before he arrived? The opportunity for the club to develop to a good club before that was minimal. So most coaches who had arrived in that year would have shaped the club to better than it was.

"As of last night lost the unanimous support of the board"

What tipped the board over the edge? Is this the first result of a unified Wests Group?

I have the utmost respect for Tim and will always be grateful for what he helped us achieve in 05.

Despite the turmoil at the moment overall we are a much better club now than when he arrived.

In saying that however I get the feeling the club and players are crying our for some fresh ideas and renewed energy and enthusiasm.

If he goes it's a win for everyone. About time we see changes. First stage (hopefully) complete.

Any sane fan will admit Sheens did a very good job with us. His time is up, that is all. Nothing lasts forever.

We are long overdue to head in a new direction, so I can only hope this is true.

40 years of failure at the Magpies, 20 odd years of failure at Balmain, followed by Terry Lamb - say no more. Sheens and the management took the club from being a rabble of factional failures no-one wanted to play for or sponsor to a club that has a good reputation is financially stable. Yes, there have been underperformances and we all had hoped of the mythical 'dynasty' they all talked about but if you seriously he they haven't transformed the club you have no idea.

spot on.
sums it up very well.
One thing Tim Sheens has and no one does, he is the first coach to win a premiership with wests-tigers.
thanks for your time Tim.

I have been one of Sheens biggest critic for a long time, and now it seems the board have turned on him, mainly due to the sackings of the past week. The funny thing is, I agree with Sheens 100% on the course of action he has taken and in my humble opinion he probably would have had a good season in 2013\. Their would have been a good blend of old and new to work with.
Anyway Tim, if todays the day, thanks for 2005 and yes you are a great coach but the magic dosnt last forever

I actually think Sheens is trying to get sacked. He wants to finalise a payout and once thats done he will sign with the warriors and be earning plenty. He's trying to take as much as he can.

My thoughts exactly, he is no fool.

If he is really trying to entice the Tigers into giving him a payout on top of walking into a lucrative head coaching position then he is a massive scumbag.
