Time for the club to come clean !

All this uncertainty has stirred up everyone and I think it's time the club came out and stated what it is trying to do.

I appreciate that they carn't make statements as to who they are negotiating with but I think a comment by Humphries is long overdue.

He could come out and they that the club is looking to renew the roster after years of disappointment etc etc.
This lack of information from the club is very unsettling for the supporters.

It obvious there are major changes being made at the club and the supporter base should be informed so as we can get behind the club and support it at this volatile time.

I would imagine that the players have more information as to what is going on, if not, thats even more unprofessional.

Come on Humphries, tell us what the club is trying to achieve !!

I agree with Gatorman !

Seems like they are happy to treat their support base like mushrooms.
No supporters = no club - wake up Tigers!

117.

happy and chris thats about the size of it isnt it.

CQ- we are doing no different to any other club in the nrl….what do you want from them

I have a feeling that the Tigers have been massively over the cap for ages ala Storm but we don't have premierships to show for it so instead of publicly taking us down over it and stripping us of invisible premierships they're making us release players on the quiet. Maybe.

I love a good conspiracy theory :sunglasses:

If we are massively over the cap with our rorster we have the worlds worst management. Our squad on paper looks ok but is not as strong as many other sides.

If we have cap pressure we a paying a lot of average first graders far too much.

I think we have paid some guys too much but I am sure this clear out is to bring in at least 2 better than average players.

For mine we have: Lawrence, Farah, Marshall, Lote (not as good as he was) and Ellis that should be on good money ( and if we use the cap rightly the majority of their money could come from 3rd party deals and not be included under the cap, management have a look at how the Broncos do this, I am sure our major sponser has enough contacts to help in this regard).

The rest of our squad aren't elite players and should be paid accordingly.

The NRL is a business. This is the bottom line and the club must be run like a business.

What they owe the supporters is not an explanation as to recruitments that are yet to happen or the direction they are looking but to turn up every week, play like professionals and put in an optimum performance.

I don't understand why supporters could reasonably expect to be made aware of such delicate matters as negotiations over player contracts, retention and recruitment until after the deed is done.
It would be disastrous for all concerned to discuss such matters openly.
Patience is a virtue, even for fans of the Wests Tigers.

Patience is essential - 2 premierships in 41 years (probably 42 years given how we're going this year) :unamused:

2 in 41?

Aren't we 1 in 11?

I think he means he's only been able to celebrate two premierships since he's been following league - whether that be the maggies, balmain and now the WT's.

We won the comp in 2005, 500 grand under the cap. So maybe Sheens thinks it will work again!!!!!

You would have to think they have a couple of big names other than Blair stitched up for 2012, but really nothing would suprise, their was talk that other than possibly Blair their would be little in the way of signings for 2012 but the big charge in the player market will be 2013, now if that is the case why have they left the gate open for all the cattle to run out now and not next year???

Or maybe Sheens has lost the players respect, so he needs a new group to work with. I just hope we hear some news from the club very soon

It would be nice to hear something, even some spin from the club, many rumours, some players already gone that were signed, equals ??????'s & many many many fans arent happy and if theyre happy to take our money and have us as members then we should be made aware of what the hell's going on.
Im sick of it tbh and theyve lost me as a 'member'….im sure Im not alone.

INK–-the spin will be flying thick and fast when we let half our playing roster walk through the front door and replace them with the solitary signing of Ryan Cross!!!! Dont laugh it could happen, something is not right in Tigertown, I smell a rat.

Of course their is another slant, Sheens as we know conned Son of Big Kev into yet another contract extension, so really he is under no pressure to perform now for two years so they can get them self cashed up and capped down and make a charge at the market next year and the year after. Lets face it he could win the spoon for us next year and he would be still in the job the year after.

Like you ink, my 300 bucks will be staying in my pocket next year unless we get some answers quick and smart
