So your saying if someone with his experience is only on 200k he has the right to be inconsistent…?
When someone is on $200k one can't complain when he doesn't perform like a marquee $1M player.
You left out the 15 years of experience!
...never mind
Not really, he is being paid $200k, when he makes mistakes $200k players make that is to be expected. What the difference is with Benji is he also makes many plays that a $200k player cannot make, in fact he makes plays that a lot of $1M players cannot make.
Works both ways doesn’t it !
I’ll say it for the last time ...
When he plays crap I’ve every right to bag him and vice verser !...
To many fence sitters on this forum !
Of course it works both ways but I'm more willing to accept mistakes when it is a $200k player we are talking about when compared to an $800k player. The problem we have is it the player on $200k who copes most the flack, when he is outperforming the higher paid players!
So your saying because he’s on a minimum wage you’ll accept a poor performance ...?
So just say Benji chokes next week I’m not supposed to bag him cause he’s only on 200k despite having 15 years of FG experience!
That’s my argument mate ...
And your argument is wrong, of course we should expect more of a player on 800k compared to a player on $200k The player on $200k should be making more mistakes as that is why he is on $200k instead of $800.
So yes I will give more leeway for a players performance based on their pay packet. Otherwise why wouldn't we go sign 30 $200k players and expect them to play like the Jonathon Thurstons and Sam Burgess of the competition.
Benji is on $200k for a reason, but at that price he provides a hell of a lot for the team, much more than our highly paid players.
