It is easy to stick the boot in now but how about if we were going up against the Roosters or Storm? As one of the biggest Benji bashers in the past I was actually happy we signed him, he was playing good footy at the Broncos and he was a completely different player than he was.

When he left the Tigers he had been playing ordinary for years and needed something to change.

So no apologies from me I was all for him coming back, just as much as I was all for him leaving

They get bagged because they are
INCONSISTENT !

I call the games as they happen and comment as I see fit .
I don’t sit on my hands for 3 weeks waiting for inconsistent players to have a good game and say ...

So point me to these consistently good players.
Very very few. Can hardly count them on one hand.
Smith and Teddy come to mind and then I struggle. Both $1M plus players and what are we paying Benji?

Spot on Hobbo, there are many who say Moses only plays well when the side is winning, a flat track bully, hello, Newy laid down. Joey Johns was scathing in his post game segment, Freddy just as critical, FOX not as harsh on the knights.
Benji and Brooks were awesome, but some perspective needs to be applied.

Of course it works both ways but I'm more willing to accept mistakes when it is a $200k player we are talking about when compared to an $800k player. The problem we have is it the player on $200k who copes most the flack, when he is outperforming the higher paid players!

So yes I will give more leeway for a players performance based on their pay packet. Otherwise why wouldn't we go sign 30 $200k players and expect them to play like the Jonathon Thurstons and Sam Burgess of the competition.


Benji is on $200k for a reason, but at that price he provides a hell of a lot for the team, much more than our highly paid players.

I think Benji like Brooks has been pretty solid this year when given a good platform to play off. Both were had great games last night because of the energy and space created for them by a mobile pack and dominant possession.

As I’ve stated many times previously, I call the games and comment as I see fit !

I don’t sit on the fence waiting for players to play good so I can piss in there pockets and call out “ where’s all the haters today “
