Its a pretty ordinary time to be a Tigers supporter at the moment (and it has been for a while), but even the glamour clubs go through it. The following is an excerpt from the Roosters history (who are cited as the best run club in the game).

**The "Transit Lounge" era**
*Considered one of the darkest eras for the Roosters since the 1950s and 1960s, the Roosters would show little signs of success throughout this time. The period has recently been bestowed the nickname the "Transit Lounge" amongst fans[citation needed] due to the club's persistence to purchase established players often past their peak at an incredible price. Lasting more than a decade from 1983 to 1994, the Roosters were only capable of making the finals once during 1987 in which they were defeated by the Canberra Raiders in the preliminary final. This period drew little highlights from the club which saw only three Australian representatives being produced in Trevor Gillmeister, Craig Salvatori, and David Trewhella. Easts also reached the final of the 1984 National Panasonic Cup but lost to the Brisbane 1sts.*

Unless the Tigers get a Salary Sombrero like the Roosters have, the Tigers have a long long long long road ahead as they dont have the option to buy a premiership and the Tiger cubs of 2002/3/4 were a freak of nature i doubt we will ever see again.

I think so too. Also, ultimately being successful will attract better players. According to reports, we are paying Taylor and McQueen more than the Morris twins but the Morris twins wouldn't have played here for the same money. Good players want to win premierships.

Most likely going to be another year of the same unfortunately. I don’t see our roster getting an overhaul until the 2022 season and if squad sizes go to 28 we will be stuck with this same squad

So brown paper bags were used to get Robinson to the club from Catalans. They had to beat off interest from other clubs did they? I think they may be just a tiny bit smarter than us.
