Tommy blasts tame Tigers

Get Tommy, Les Boyd and Roy Masters in the dressing room before the game.
Speak to each player individually and encourage them to go and rip the bunnies apart.

its a heritage game, so wind the years back and have the traditional softening up period/play brutual.

Smeg is rightTommy's team copped some real pastings, but they had heart and tried all day, they just didn't have the cattle,we have the cattle but no heart,so good on you Tommy they sure as hell deserve it sans Ellis,Ryan and Woods.

Yeah Boydie could get someone to go out and hit a bloke with an elbow and while he's down he could eye gouge him

A couple of questions on that 1/ how the bloody hell would they grade that  Grade 25 bringing the game into disrepute charge

2/ How many years would you spend out of the game

Seriously though , to you younger fellas who never saw Les Boyd play when he focussed totally on football he was easily the best 2nd rower running around with Rod Reddy

from age of 12, (1976) I watched Les Boyd play with west magpies, and come up thru the ranks, attended many games at Lidcombe Oval.
tend to agree, when he focussed he was very damaging to opposition.

**_point I'm trying to get across have him there so he will encourage players to bring out their inner aggression._**

Yeah , he could give the same motivational speeches he gave the Magpies when he coached them to about half a dozen wins in two years. :crazy

Wayne Bennett couldn't have done any better with that side. Tommy went ok, won an Origin series and got the Maggies into the finals in 96

I like what Tommy had to say and at the end of the day, for me, he is reinforcing the message to the team of playing with pride, guts and determiination (attitude). We need a champion team at the moment not a team of people who think they are champions.

Wouldn't it be great to be at the SFS this sunday arvo and watch our forwards totally put in and take the bunnies completely by surprise, restore pride in the jersey, confidence in the fans and uplift the club. See Lawrence dominate Inglis when he tries to break through.

Come on Wests Tigers LIFT no better way to do it than to beat the bunnies in a HERITAGE game.

Didn't help that he kept picking his son…

Lol didn't matter Yoss, its not like they had anyone better

Come on mate they had Skando and the Cashman!!! With Harvey Howard in support!! Admittedly their hopes were cruelled by the unavailability of one Darren "luncheon meat" Fritz for most of the year…

Yeah but Lincoln played in the back-row. Anyway i think their problems stemmed deeper then Lincoln getting picked. Super League killed them, and left them with a group of guys, who a lot would struggle to get a game in group 6

interestingly though, Shane Perry who played a bit of FG, but was mainly a reserve grader, went on to play halfback in Brisbane's 2006 premiership side

Yeah this is exactly what we need damo,

A coach who's inspirational talks involve him telling the lads about the time he did the sneaky dirty with his missus between the goalposts on a moonlit orana park night…. oh gawd... MY EYES.... :bawling

He's a class act all the way!

I can understand his frustration towards the current squad, no doubt about it, however lets not get too carried away though....

thanks underdog you just made my point tommys side didnt have the class on paaper thgis side has but they showedHEART had a dig this side has the class but no heart or spine a kick up the backside is what we need with a bit of heart.

Well said Tommy! about time someone came out and gave the club some home truths! Hope he is in the dressing room before the game ripping into them also!

By the way, is Benny Elias no longer the go to man for a comment to the media?

Thats **NOT** what I said bigdamo, and I would never say that about his effort and Heart - he had effort and heart in spades!

I just think his opinion is unwarranted, and unnecessary much like stories about his sexual potency.

Ask Gallen, Matt Johns and Farah. They are all on record as saying pretty much the same thing about us

Tommy was the ultimate competitor, don't think there's anyone who's played the game with more desire or a harder edge. But, he's post relevant. Don't believe it's good for the club when people seek him out for that inevitable controversial quote or two. Doesn't do anything to enhance the sort of culture that the clubs trying to maintain/cultivate, not to mention that it diminishes the legacy of Tommy himself.

A lot of people remember that Tom played with a club that had marginally greater success than Norths or Newtown and indeed has won the spoon more times than any other. You could almost forgive him if he was a Saints or Souths player, indeed he could cop a lesson or two from Sattler or Provan

much more relevant.

Two play currently in todays game, and 1 only recently stopped playing.
