Tommy Talau from bench

When we first signed this Talau there was a guy who posted a thread an here and said he was a back rower your waisting your time playing him outwide and many people on here bagged him obviously he knew more than people gave him credit for does anybody on here remember what his name was

I've always maintained he's not a winger as he lacks genuine pace - quick enough close to the line but he's got a pretty big frame and I think ultimately he'll be an edge backrower - just a question of when...Not sure what his current weight is, but he does seem to poke his nose through the defensive line when he hits the ball up hard.

I remember last season he caused the Roosters some trouble so hopefully he can back that up on Sunday with a strong showing.

Will need to improve defensively to be an effective back rower imo

I don't like him defending in the centres but he might find it easier being bit tighter in. Defending towards the middle is less about making decisions and more about technique and making a lot of tackles.

Mate . He looks like he could be anything in the back row . I felt like that was his position the first time I saw him , like a bigger , more powerful Esan Marsters ,with more curry about him . I really like the decision to move him in .

It’s a good point you make. I thought he looked good when he came on and if he can defend well in the middle he could be a very effective 13.

So does Luke Garner.

Garner will need to improve in a lot of areas.

I kind of feel like Garner is in the way now . I think I’d rather Talau in there , especially if Garner is going to play like he did last weekend .

Blore will be back soon hopefully

I just hope they use Talau effectively. They had no idea how to use him last game, give him more ball with momentum, he breaks tackles for fun

I’m not confident in Blore being what we need as an edge backrower.
He looks more like a middle player in the games Ive seen him in.
Does he have the evasiveness and speed, coupled with ball skills to play there?

I'm not a big MCK fan , but surely we get more from him on the bench than we do Talau

Then again Talau should be in the starting side ......I'd be shopping Leilua now ...but because we signed Lucy the fallout could be huge

Great recruiting WT's ......

Yeah I knew that ........earlier the better if you ask me ...1 good trial game 12 months ago ....that's it

Organising halves at international stage has been a big issue.

However, I was very surprised that there is only one NRL fullback in the WC in Tedesco. Koula, Sualii, Manu don't play fullback at NRL level.
Can you please tell me what position Teddy plays ?
