Please all of you, just look at the ONE COMMON factor in all (near enough) the failures this club has had in trying to bring young players through the system to, hopefully, NRL level, since 2005. The common factor in all of these years HAS BEEN THE CLUB! Instead of blaming the young-and-upcoming players for their failure to make it, maybe those in charge of bringing new talent forward ARE FAILING!

Shawn Blore, Sam McIntyre, Simon Dwyer, Chris Lawrence, David Nofoluma, Tim Simona, James TEdesco, Mitchell Moses, Josh Alioia, all wave hello

Add to that , Curtis and Bailey Sironen, Ado Carr, Koriebete, Brooks, Twal, Murdoch -Marsilla, Teo, Woods, Farah, Marshall, and i am sure there is more.

Ado Carr was a sharks junior, Twal parra, Farah & Marshall pre 2005, Woods already mentioned and according to most here Brooks isnt a success...

Ado Carr and Twal made their debuts at the Tigers, and Brooks was Dally M halfback of the year in 2018, and like i said there are others Lui, Papenhousen, Fifita and Masters, and im sure there is more

The point of the original post, to which I responded, was players who have come through the Tigers Junior system post 2005 and been successful here. The original poster claimed there was none, I posted a list of players that have, some have added to it. I agree with your brooks point but Ado Carr, Twal, Benji, Farah, Paps, Masters, Bailey Sironen, dont qualify for the original posters point.

Depends on what you class as junior system - is that Wests and Balmain juniors via Matts and Flegg - or players that haven't debuted yet but are in the WT system. Blore, McIntyre and Aloiai are not WT juniors and have spent very little to no time at all in the u20s at the club.

I guess the finale on this argument is this ...no one post 2011 has played semis at this club ...and won't until at least 2022/2023

That must be so appealling to any potential junior or experienced NRL player .....

Fair point, but when the original post stated that ***no one has*** then even a list of the players that have come through Flegg is long enough...Brooks, Woods, Moses, Lawrence, etc etc

EDIT: Actually Mighty Maggies original posts stated ***"the failures this club has had in trying to bring young players through the system to, hopefully, NRL level, since 2005"*** so based on that and based also that this is in a thread about Talau (not a Tigers junior?) that players like Blore & McIntyre count.

I feel like Tommy isn't fit enough and surely the club in the off season can get him some coaching from a sprints coach that would do wonders for his career moving forward.

He's not worth the investment.
Move him on.

Same as we did the other night AD or Mbye until we sign someone better.

What about the wing position? Would you give Fitzgibbon a run? I think I would, couldn’t be any worse than Cini’s last game. Maybe give Cini a chance to redeem himself?

He'd be a star at the Storm. He's imo at least as fast as Justin Olam. This comes back to our NRL coaching.

He definitely has some good attributes, he's strong and he runs really nice lines but he's got a lot to work on. Still young though

He's not fast.
Olam would burn him...

I've seen him in space and he's in quicksand.
Not up to standard.

To be honest I haven't seen enough of the reserves to make an informed decision as I have been too busy with work. I wasn't impressed during the trials but have been told he has improved over the season.

Yeah, I like Fitzgibbon (I thought he has improved a lot from the trials), I think Cini needs another chance, but also Kiah Cooper wouldn't be a bad option either.

He was 8 metres in front on Laurie when Laurie made that break with two minutes to go. Five metres behind and running in sand after Laurie ran 40. JTJ hasnt been flash but would have been under the sticks.

Yep
Talau lacks literally everywhere it requires him to be a decent back

SACK HIM

Tommy needs a few games back in reserves to get his game back.. I find him lazy and when a player gets past him he just watches. No effect to get back and help if needed.. Sorry but for a young bloke he is not putting in like others..

Yeah Kiah Cooper is the one that actually stood out for me in all the KOECs I saw. Agreed that Cini needs a chance to redeem himself, it will make or break him. Fitzgibbon is raw, and would need support, which we lack, around him on the field but crikey he is quick.
