Interesting how people think inability to control your emotions as a good thing. I will take JT's maturity anyway over the petulance of Barrett.

I don't need my coach to be passionate. I need them to be rational and thoughtful.

Interesting how people twist others words. That's not what I said. The context was everything. Craig Bellamy is probably the most animated coach in the comp but he seems pretty successful. I've even seen Wayne Bennett react to things. It was more noticeable because Barrett was on the sideline rather than the coaches box. A try and Manly were a chance of winning. He has a moment of frustration and now he can't control his emotions.

JT mature? Well yes punching your players in the guts and then getting nailed out during Mad Monday seems very mature.

Personally I don't care if a coach is a lunatic or emotionless - just as long as they win games.

so barrett "has a moment of frustration and now he can't control his emotions."

but this from craig bellamy is him as cool as a cucumber right?

i dont see how trent acting like a normal human and kicking a water bottle has any relevance to just about anything. im sure you could find vision of JT expressing his emotions too, its literally their livelihood and that too in public light. not a relatively light hearted interest for a sports club like us (and we probably get 10x more animated)

That is pretty calm for Bellamy.

Could have something to do with the fact that JT has had almost two years of failures, hes used to it by now

Who cares about his body language - the important thing is that Manly lost.

Exactly. Manly and Parra's seasons are the only ray of sunshine in this comp. Seeing Barrett act that way just makes it more enjoyable.

Really? Well its not even 18 months but I appreciate counting isn't your strong point. But neither is memory. JT has been calm since the beginning. He has been overly sensitive to criticism, calling radio stations etc but hasn't displayed anger in public at anytime.

Interesting how people point out JT's failures as if we were this amazingly successful side before he came. We weren't. The last time we were competitive was 2011, some 4 years before Taylor arrived.

But don't let the truth get in the way of ignorant, childish rant.

IMO it wasnt an angry kick of the bottle….it was more of an ''oh well *sigh*...were done...moment of resignation

no biggie

I actually havent seen it, which I should have made clear. My point in this thread is that I think people mistake immaturity for passion. People can be passionate without carrying on like Bellamy or Hasler.

It wasnt an immature act imo.
I think they bombed a try, he turned - looked away , with hands in pockets, saw the bottle there on the ground and gave it a little kick
i thought nothing of it at the time…normal reaction to what had just occurred, his team had the slightest of chances at equalizing, and then it was gone

Jeez, it sure seems like two years, talk about touchy. I actually agree that he's always calm, almost to the point of putting listeners to sleep,
It seems that it's reading , that isn't your strong point,
Try reading it again and you'll see that I made no mention of JT's calmness or non calmness. But when all else fails , just make it up., cheers
