Trent Robinson

Is Trent Robinson the most overrated coach in the history of the game?
His team just lost to half a team of Cowboys and is sitting in the middle of the table even though Uncle Nick provides him with the most talented group every year.
He seems immune from criticism.
Why is it so?
Won two comps gets benefit of the doubt.

Agree, he is up there

In terms of resources, corporate support, and a great squad, I would expect more.

What are we basing this on, an Origin affected match? If you look at the Roosters last couple of seasons, particularly last year, they really overachieved. You don’t win 3 premierships if you are overrated.

I'm basing it on them having objectively the most expensive team on the open market every year.
If Bennett or Bellamy coached under the sombrero they'd be heading for their 12th straight grand final. Bellamy's already proven what he can do with an extended salary cap.

Yes, he is the biggest dip sh#t , just behind Jason Taylor. A coach that has for years a team probs worthy 1.5 times the salary cap of other teams , and still has had mediocre results. Worse still , he continues to poach the best talent from the true development clubs like the Tigers & Penrith. A dead set pretender & major DHEAD.

Bennett had similar when he was at the broncos in his first round there

Overachieved with a squad of Tedesco, Manu, Suaalii, Smith X 3, Tupou, Radley, Crichton, Keary, Walker, Butcher X 2, JWS, Collins and now Young, Watson and Leinu? If the Tigers had the Roosters squad, I'd be disappointed with anything less than a top 2 finish.

1&1/2 time the cap eh?
Better tell the admin he has his sums wrong.

It was probably his worst game in Australia,he had an absolute shocker
About on par with the way he was playing about 2 seasons ago.

He really only came good last season and not sure what it was that caused the big improvement in his game but prior to that he was pretty hopeless I thought, dare I even say it, Gildart like. 🤣

They already know. When the players are all asked why they go to the rorters, the classic line is pumped out... "For life after footy". That tells you exactly what goes on & how they sign people for unders. When ex players are paid AFTER they leave the club its technically not a salary cap breech is it?

Robinson is just one cog in a club that takes full advantage of the system. The conditions he works under are not comparable to many/most clubs. However making the finals is not acceptable at the Roosters. This is a premiership winning squad and is about to lose two of its stars in Manu and Sualli - he is under immense pressure this season to win a premiership not just make the finals.

Bellamy takes fringe players and turns them into role playing winners. Robinson takes stars and can't develop them any further.
Brandon Smith has crashed.
Dom Young is crashing.
He turned young Flanagan into a joke and yet Flanagan Senior has turned him back into the player that arrived at the Roosters.

How exactly does this equate to $6million /year?
We need your figures to mount a case against them.
