I cannot believe how many times we dropped/lost the ball/gave up possesion on tackles 0,1 & 2\. :astonished: 😱pen_mouth: :smiling_imp:

I counted 7, 4 in our own half.

We were far from brilliant yesterday vs Manly but if we would've given the Ball a little more respect then things may have turned out a little different.

I truly believe that the reason why we aren't scoring as many points as we have done in the past is because we struggle to build any pressure by continually giving the ball away cheaply, early and in our own half. :frowning:

If (I know it is a big IF) the team can stay disciplined with the ball then we will go deep into September!

We aren't that inferior to many other teams in this comp in my eyes, so with a more disciplined approach we definetley have the cattle this season to win the comp. :stuck_out_tongue:

Your thoughts :bulb:

The worst thing about it is that it seems to be getting worse. In the past it was just poor ball security, then handling became an issue and now it seems throwing no-look passes on the zero tackle (to hand the ball back to the opposition after they spilled it!) seems to be all the rage.

To be 40 odd metres out from the try line, have the ball in hand on zero tackles and to throw a speculator like that was absolutely pathetic. How about slowing the play down and having a think boys?

That play had me going nuts at home! I was going of my dial! Why would you do that????

I think that the biggest problem from that match was our commitment to defence. It was very poor and we stuggled to make important one on one tackles. When they were on our line it seemed almost certain that they would score as our defence just looked brittle. Going to have to do slot more work on it if we are to be a force in finals football..

This was most definetly the bigger problem….it looked like the Manly boys were twice as strong as our blokes. They seemed to score at will when down our end.

Our defence has been up for 5 weeks winning us games….

It wasn't against Manly but it's hardly been brittle for the most part of the season...

I'm with Tri ....hold the ball for six tackles for a start.....

I'd like to see us have a minimum of 3 hitups up the middle before spreading it wide.

But then we wouldnt get to hear gus gould going "thats the tigers, they can do that too you" :S
