Wests Tigers to play Penrith in Bathurst

Wests Tigers will play Penrith Panthers in a trial at Carrington Park, Bathurst, on Friday, February 8.

Tickets for the Wests Tigers opening trial of 2013 will go on sale on January 8, at Bathurst Panthers Leagues Club.

The match, organised by Penrith Panthers, is part of their community carnival visits in NSW Central West.

Wests Tigers will provide further details around this match and additional trials at a later date.

I wonder if that means we'll be playing three trials this year or we will only be playing either Parra or Rooster's in the second trial…

Might just be the fringe players for this one. Usually (from memory) they play 3 trials - the first with fringe and young players and the other 2 with the NRL players.

Sounds about right.
Minor trial on 11th Feb would leave room for two more main trials the weekends of 16-17 Feb & 23 - 24 feb with the following weekend 2-3 march off as usual before Rd one and our game on Mon 11th March

I remember playing two trials against the eels and the rooters this year but I'd say your on the money Yoss and it gives MP a chance to look at a few more players in case injuries hit.

but then again it might just not be. Potter is an unknown entity.

These trials are different. With Tim Sheens there were maybe a couple of spots up for grabs but with Potter its more than that.
