they used to say the same about the Bulldogs of the 80's....maybe warren ryan is the common factor

The Tigers team of 88 & 89 were more into spawning the next generation of players. Jack, Sironen, Roach, Pearce…

If you stretch it out to 15 years then Bob Lindner coached the South Queensland Crushers.
Both Roy Masters and Warren Ryan had an exceptional number of players move into coaching.

Following the departure of Kevin Moore that makes it 5 former Wests Players that are now NRL Coaches !!!

To summarise current NRL coaches:
Hasler, Kearney, Flanagan, Georgalis and now Dymock!!

Former NRL coaches in last decade:
Taylor,Langmack,Coleman,Henjak,Farrar and Lamb

Who is a Masters protege?

Can only think of Tommy and maybe Craig Young.

Rod Reddy wasn't he initial coach of Adelaide Rams Possibly Mick Potter ??

Reddy only had two years playing under Masters. He did have some time under Brian Smith when he was a reserve grade coach.

I think the biggest influences for Potter would have been Warren Ryan and Brian Smith. This is not to discount the influence of Grandpa Bakerloo who worked with Potter when he was an apprentice electrician.
