I can understand losing against the Dogs being grand finalists and all after leading 24-6 but F×+#k me losing to the faiders after leading 22 nil after 25 minutes is an absolute joke especially when you have 14+ thousand home fans cheering you on at the mighty Leichardt Oval. I would like to think we are an top eight team but after that effort but realistically we are bottom four. Don't want to hear the crap that we are learning and we are are a young team/poor reffing. We are have no one to blame but ourselves this week. Pathetic.

I can't help but agree. Today's performance was pathetic, and easily our worst of the year. If there's any consolation, I think the team will have extra motivation for Friday's game against the Bulldogs

Its not in our nature to win games off a big lead. Our success comes from games where we are behind with ten to go and then get over the line such as the Eels and Titans games this year.

Remember a few years back the 31-30 win over Parramatta after leading 30 nil.

Absolutely irrelevant. If we are a deadset serious team you win from behind / in front against the play etc etc. And for god sake specially when we have a bloody 22 nil lead!

That was the most deflating win. Walking out of the ground, Parra fans were the ones cheering. It was a bizarre feeling.

There's something in the Wests Tigers culture about giving up a big lead. We seem to do it far more often than any other club

Unfortunately we lost or nearly lost quite a few games in a similar fashion
e.g. vs Penrith and vs Parramatta, and than we had many 'experienced' players :frowning:

If you can't bring that lead home, you deserve to be bottom four. Needs to be some serious questions asked.
Or, we could blame the ref….

go back to the year 2000 leading 31-8 what happened then?? this team for 15 years cannot hold big leads year after year they choke them it was better under Potter at least the game was over by halftime with him

Blame Sheens. This garbage used to happen seemingly every second week under him. He was soft and installed a soft culture at the club. Seems we still have a way to go before it is removed.

I agree, but that doesn't make my comment irrelevant.

Can't agree any more than that, Tigers suck and don't even seem to care. Looks like they are not the take surely must be no side can lose so many games they had in the bag without throwing them away on purpose

Maybe today the real Wests Tigers turned up to play and the first five rounds we had a wannabe imposter team… The Tigers were pathetic after the first 20 minutes... Changes are needed.. I question Lovett place in the forwards and Moses in the backs.....

Honestly was anyone confident at 22-0?

No, 22 is not great for us. 4 out of 7 games this year we have finished with a score of 22\. Only twice have we won them. The only time we have scored more than 22, we lost. :frowning:

Average teams can get the lead, good teams keep it.

To do it twice in 7 rounds, while frustrating, is more than luck. Good times aren't so far away.

Tbh I was enjoying the game, watching the team put together some great attacking sets and I was confident.. That's because I thought we'd back it all up with the great defense they've been showing in recent times, but instead we reverted back to the Sheens era, dropping off tackles and looking really uninterested in defense which eventually lead to the capitulation.. So disappointing.

Before the game I was thinking; this is a game we could lose, we'll have to stay in it for the full 80.
At 22-0 I began to become more confident thinking; if we keep this up we really could build a cricket score. Then out came the beers, slaps on the back, nice sunny day, time for a nap. Complacent.
