This was a good result from WT under 20s.When I got there the Cowboys were leading 22-10.What a second half comeback from WT to take out the win at one time in this half I thought the weather conditions were catching up with WT as they began to slow up,but to their credit dug in and won.I hope the WT coaching staff took note as in this side there is a lot of talent, hopefully WT can retain them and build them up to 1st grade products…...Well done WT under 20s..Good win

It was a great win, we scored more points against them, than the previous 4 teams they played against combined.

Great win for the boys. Beating the competition leaders on their turf will give them a huge confidence boost.

Well done! :wahoo:

Wests Tigers recorded a 38-28 victory over the North Queensland Cowboys at Dairy Farmers Stadium in round five of the Toyota Cup competition.

It was the third consecutive victory for Wests Tigers under coach Grant Jones and ended the undefeated run of the Cowboys.

Wests Tigers ran in seven tries with winger Faleula Finau and interchange hoojer Patrick Politoni scoring two tries each. Vaha Pulu and Sama Sauvao also crossed for a try.

Full-back Jake Mullaney scored a try and kicked five goals in the win for a personal tally of 14 points. Mullaney scored three tries the previous week and is the competition's leading pointscorer.

Wests Tigers now sit on six competition points and inside the top eight.

Jones will now prepare his men for a big clash against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at the Sydney Football Stadium on Friday, May 16\. Kick-off is 5.15pm.
