With the team being under the pump and both the fans and the media starting to ask some serious questions this week shapes as a season defining game.
I realise that that sounds a bit odd given we are playing a team who only have 1 more win than us but this is shaping as a must win game. Lose to the Eels and there could quite possibly be wave of frustration Taylor and the board may not be able spin their way out of.
While everything we are striving to achieve is admirable and Taylor's theory and assessment of why this club has under achieved is close to the mark, it all means nothing if he does not have the ability to get this playing group to improve.
The most notable aspect of this weeks match up comes in the form of Brad Takairangi, we had this guy signed sealed and delivered, unfortunately the new coach chose to pass on the contract. This week that logic will be put to the test as the Wests Tigers run out with a centre pairing reminiscent of the historically under whelming Nick Bradley Qalilawa, Mark Ohalloren etc.
Parramatta's outside backs and edge forwards are their strength. Led by Brad Takairangi, his mates Semi Radradra, Bureta Faraimo, Manu Ma'u, Tepai Moeroa and Anthony Watmough the likes of Deloise Hoeter, Nathan Milone, Kevin Naquama and old Pat Richards are under pressure to hold their own.
If our lads cant hold them out it wont be just this game that gets ugly, the fall out that will follow is going to place a hell of a lot of pressure on a team heading for their first wooden spoon.
Im hopeful but if we get off to a poor start and hand them possession and momentum i doubt the players selected can hold them out.
